Campus Resources

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The community college has all of the basic necessary resources needed for a college.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: My favorite resource of the school is the FYE (first year experience) program. It is very helpful to first year students to help them get the counseling they need, not only for their current classes, but the ones they need to transfer and help finding a career that best suits them.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The library is huge and awesome. The counselor are there for you and are really helpful.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I would say almost everything is fine except for student hygiene and student participation/interactive in class.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: There are many resources that the school provides. Counselors, tutoring, and internships and such. There are many places to reach these sources and there are always people reminding you about these resources.

Santa Monica College is simply beautiful. The campus is surrounded by lawns and palm trees, and the school itself is kept clean. There are plenty of designated spots for students and faculty to sit and relax or study. School buildings are relatively new and updated with gadgets and technology, and there is a huge area designated for athletes and students to exercise. SMC recently installed solar panels on one of the parking plots, which will help the campus be more sustainable.

The library here is very large, with four levels of books and study areas. Students often go there in between classes to take a quick nap or review their notes. There are also private rooms where you can meet with a study group and be as loud as you want to be because they are sound proof. The computer lab there is great, and the reference and info desk is useful when you're looking for books. The Internet is very fast; if it isn't crowded, you can actually surf the Web and go on YouTube or Facebook.
