Campus Resources: Parking is terrible. Library is small, but nice. New Athletic Center under construction. Student services (counseling/admissions/bursar/ect.) are scattered, in modular homes, or actual houses across from campus.

Campus Resources: For a community college I love all the resources it has to offer.

There is a wonderful library with tons of study space and little hid aways on every floor, it even has private group study rooms equipped with dry erase boards for cram sessions.

There is also a Pool, Gym and Track and field for all the active students and yoga classes.

For photo students they have an awesome studio with medium format cameras, all the lighting equipment you need with huge white rooms for professional studio shots and even a dark room for film.

The student center just got redone! and its pretty awesome with lots of comfy seating and areas to chat or do homework. Also they have a computer lab in there with free printing, they give you up to $15 of free printing per semester, more then enough when you are only paying a few cents per page.

Santa Monica College is simply beautiful. The campus is surrounded by lawns and palm trees, and the school itself is kept clean. There are plenty of designated spots for students and faculty to sit and relax or study. School buildings are relatively new and updated with gadgets and technology, and there is a huge area designated for athletes and students to exercise. SMC recently installed solar panels on one of the parking plots, which will help the campus be more sustainable.

The library here is very large, with four levels of books and study areas. Students often go there in between classes to take a quick nap or review their notes. There are also private rooms where you can meet with a study group and be as loud as you want to be because they are sound proof. The computer lab there is great, and the reference and info desk is useful when you're looking for books. The Internet is very fast; if it isn't crowded, you can actually surf the Web and go on YouTube or Facebook.
