Overall Experience: My school constantly sent emails and notifications whenever any schools or businesses were visiting our school. We had "Transfer Days" where several Universities would come and give students a chance to learn more about their school to possibly transfer. There were also "Job Fairs" at our school where local businesses would come and recruit students ready to jump into the work field.

Online Courses: I love online classes because I am very good with time management. I also love to teach myself and I am very organized. With that being said, I understand how some people may be against online classes. I do like to be hands on with certain assignments, but the online classes offered at SBCC are always very structured. I had a teacher online who sent videos of herself lecturing which allowed us to feel like we were sitting in class just with our pajamas on and some popcorn near :)

Tuition & Financial Aid: My school offered me the Board of Governors Waiver (BOG) which changed my college experience immensely. If it wasn't for the BOG waiver, I don't know if I would have been able to finish my general studies.

Career Services: Career center is amazing! They have so many quizzes and questionnaires it's impossible NOT to find your future career! I am a part of the alumni network and their communication is great.

Academic Experience: The sociology classes and programs at my school are great. Sociology professors offer Sociology majors who are "A" students to be tutors and sit in on their class periods. I had an Intro to Deviance class in which my professor actually brought in a speaker who served prison time. I thought that was extremely beneficial for our class to listen to a man who experienced prison life and was able to return back to society and share his experience with us.

Academic Experience: "Pipeline" is an easy and simple website to access everything a student needs to know. All the professors are professional, the curriculums are clear and effective, and the study programs the school offers are always popular.

Campus Resources: As a student athlete, I was able to experience and utilize the amazing resources Santa Barbara City College offers on both ends of the spectrum. There are so many resources available to all kinds of different students. For athletes, the gym facilities were always very clean and maintained. My softball coach actually founded the program "The Zone" where athletes would go to study, find a tutor, and also be encouraged to keep their grades eligible. The student center and library offered several different seminars addressing common student challenges such as studying habits, taking effective notes, writing a research paper, and even time management and lifestyle. The writing center in the student center was a huge help for me when I needed someone's input and a fresh look for my papers. Every professor I ever had was knowledgable, respectful, and truly loved their job as a professor. If only this school was a University I would want to stay forever! Amazing, amazing, amazing college full of so much commitment, dedication, and positive vibes.

Online Courses: I took one online English course. The professor was not helpful and did a poor job of communicating. He assigned a lot of work and didn't offer must criticism to improve. Poor online experience.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The value of education is worth the tuition. They also offer many opportunities for scholarships and fee waivers.

Career Services: The school has a good program with UC's that guarantees one's transfer of credits. I plan to take advantage of that this coming fall.

Academic Experience: Professors are typically helpful, though, every now and then you come across a bad apple. Curriculum is at a good level- the workload is typically manageable. The school and professors offer a wide variety of tutoring options, as well.
