Online Courses: It's really weird not having a specific time and place to go to a lecture, and it's weird not seeing or hearing the instructor or your classmates. But what I like about it all is that I can log in whenever I want/can and do however much work I can get done then. If I think I'm ready for the weekly quiz sooner than the due date, I can take it early and not have to worry about it anymore. It's also a little different with asking questions about the lectures; in a regular classroom, you can raise your hand and ask a question then and there. When you're watching a video lecture, you have to pause it, send a message to the instructor, and keep going while you wait for a response.

Overall Experience: The only thing I would mention is that it's really competitive to get advising appointments, which are required to register for classes each semester.

Overall Experience: Vet offices want people who know what they're doing, which is what this degree is for.

Academic Experience: If you're coming into this from a break from school/college like I am, it seems a little overwhelming to go full time. However, the readings and coursework are fascinating. I will have connections to LVTs and doctors when I'm done that will greatly help get me a real job, hopefully right away.

Overall Experience: I'm just starting, and it's hard to adjust to online classes, where I don't get to see the instructor or my classmates. But the discussion boards are helpful and the instructors are wonderful if you have questions.

Overall Experience: San Juan College is fantastic. Overall, my experience there has been anything but bad.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: The only frustration would be trying to make time for turning in assignments when situations occur at home.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: The online courses are more challenging since we're responsible for getting the work in on time before or on the due date. The workload is only stressful if you don't prioritize. Even though there is no classroom you can still communicate with the instructor through technology and other peers.

Career Services: Since I am nearing the end of my DMAD major I think that the post-grad services will most helpful since their goal is to help us find jobs in the careers we love.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The courses are definitely challenging since getting the work done is our responsibility which teaches us how to function in the real world. The professors do offer enough help to move us along, and offer great advice into the courses.

Overall Experience: The career prospects are endless since the school employees also aim to encourage us to step into the career world through potential internships or jobs.

Academic Experience: My dream major was to be mainly photography, but the closest was digital media arts and design. Even though it wasn't a specific major for me, it has been a real eye opener at the options that I would have in the DMAD major if photography didn't work out.
