5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Caring teachers and staff tat focus on the student success

1 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: You can't transfer in or out because this is a program-based school.

1 College Senior

Online Courses: You are behind on your online program most-likely, and that is because your teacher and director forgot to press the order now button for the entire class months ago, so all of your work will be pushed back and crammed for finals. Good luck!

2 College Senior

Career Services: You can't compete with this degree over your shoulder; a better school means a better scho, so go to one!

2 College Senior

Overall Experience: If you don't give in to their authority, they will find a way to get you dismissed! Be courteous, or they will close their doors to you. Be genuinely hard working; they don't want to do the hard work with you.

2 College Senior

Overall Experience: The nursing community is small, so don't burn down the building when you get dismissed from the program; they will find out and you won't ever get a job within a 200 mile radius.

Academic Experience: To be in the Registered Nursing major means constantly having to fend for yourself. They have high academic standards intended to drop students. 30 applicants will get in the program, but atleast 10 will be dropped before the end of the first year. Their statistics say 98% success rate-that is a lie. Their computers are extremely outdated; some as old as you are! Seek help immediately or face a large group of RN advisors out to boot you. Never displease the staff, "the nursing community is a small one, after all." The program costs nearly $60000, which is probably not what you will make a year with their A.S. degree. The school may not be meeting state NCLEX passing standards, so be wary of your program being dropped in the near future; Their PA program sure hit the road!

Overall Experience: From an over-priced, for-profit company to the run down library portable with 19th century computers running on the worst broadband, thing have never been so misrepresented. This school lacks all of the integrity of a fine university; hence why it's not called SJVU! It lost its PA program last year, it's Nursing program is not passing state requirements, and paying tens of thousands of dollars to make a few bucks over minimum wage in jobs is not worth the debt accumulation. This school is not reputable, and worries more about its image than it's students. Look up their academic success rates per California board of Education, not their website. This school signs students up for programs that are at a pass/no pass if you fail a single class; you must then reapply to the whole program and pay for the units again. The units are non-transferable, and you have to meet certain "unorthodox" standards constantly. There is definitely a money market here-beware!

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: They're sociable and make me think of friends that I had in high school.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: It's excellent that the school assists you with resumes and prepare you for interviews. That's very important, especially when you are beginning a new career.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: I'm sure it's a lot that I will have to focus on, but is necessary to have. It's just preparing me for what I will have to be doing once I get a job after I finish this program.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I haven't had any problems so far.

4 College Junior

Career Services: So far, I would consider it great upon what I have seen enrolling into the school.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Pharmacy Technician. I have just registered, and have already learned that the pharmacies aren't the only places that I can apply for a job. My options are open. I had no idea how many levels in becoming a pharmacy technician could take you.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I appreciate the fact that San Joaquin has the most friendliest individuals working there. They answered all of my questions, and whenever I didn't understand something, they helped out willingly and in a positive manner. I haven't even started yet and am so excited in starting. More schools should have workers like those working in San Joaquin Valley College. I love it.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The process for enrollment was great and advisors stay on top of everything you need.
