Health & Safety: It is very small and generally very safe. The school itself is located in a very safe area of the city. At school I ALWAYS feel extremely safe. The dorms are more downtown but as long as you are with friends and do not do stupid things you will be fine. I was a little scared walking around by myself when I first got there but I feel fine now.

Overall Experience: If the school is right for you, you will love it. It is very small and you see people you know all the time but I like that. There are limited classes because it is small but there are still lots of options and small class sizes so you get a lot of individual attention.

Overall Experience: There are some AMAZING alumni who are artists and went to this school.

Campus Housing: It's about a 30 minute walk from the school. Kind of expensive, quite small. The rooms themselves are nice but the basement/kitchen are super gross. There are two dorms on different blocks. One of the dorms, the laundry in the basement doesn't work well. But at the same time it's fun to be somewhere with all of your friends around and everyone is a student at the school. I definitely think it's a good idea to be in the dorms when you start. You meet people and get to be more social. But after a while most people choose to get an apartment.

Greek Life: I don't think we have one... but I could just be oblivious to it. Either way it's not a big part of our school.

Overall Experience: SFAI is very diverse and has a lot of different types of artists. I love how they let you use ALL the facilities even if its not your major or even if you don't take any classes in the subject. All the studios are available to all students. There are some amazing teachers and there are some okay teachers. You just gotta ask around to see who's good. It also depends on what type of learner you are. Some people do well with tough critique and harsher feedback and others do well with more encouragement and suggestions. I really like the general vibe of the school. The cafe isn't great, only serves a few options every day. Its not buffet style. The students are great, super cool and funny. All kinds of people.

Health & Safety: We've had situations in the past and alot of students felt like the school was not doing enough for the issues at hand.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Alot of the art professors here are pretty good. They're accepting to your art form and style.

2 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Not alot of opportunities are given or shown.

Campus Housing: The dorms are quiet and calm, I don't mind them. But they're ridiculously expensive for what we pay for and don't get. THe RA's are great however and the community is ok. But the dorms location and building is terrible.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I was expecting to go to a less Fine Arts based school. I thought we would learn more about the art industry and where we can move our art into more accessible careers

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: They have some great profressors. But the student assistance and times open can improve. Including the facilities.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I still agree that this school still takes things serously, and that this has a lot of esteem and clout.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: I expected more from a private school that costs $40k a year.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Food is good, tons of variety, great flavor yet healthy and affordable.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Students are very open with one another. There doesn't seem to be any bad feelings toward others.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: So far, my experience has been challenging and full of hard work. There has definitely been progress in my practice

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The school provides a career center and offers a lot of advice for jobs/internships.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Housing is okay, the price is ridiculous and only getting worse. Tough to find a cheap place in S.F

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Several restaurants and pizza places for lunch in S.F. Some cheap places for a slice.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: Administration is usually looking for ways to help students.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I didn't have much of a problem getting my financial aid. People in the office were very helpful and made sure that I understood everything that I needed to understand.

5 College Freshman

Local Area: It's San Francisco! It's pretty difficult to complain.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I'm not really sure on this one. I don't participate.
