3 College Senior

Academic Experience: For me considering my course of study isn't offered at SLCC, it's not to great knowing what classes I need. But I do know people in certain programs that are offered there, and they like it a lot.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: From reviews from other students and alumni, I have learned that a Criminal Justice major can help me advance into a

pre-law major and to get a chance to attend law school in the future. The major is diverse and will allow me to learn about different aspects of criminal law, corrections, law, and even the progression of immigration reform.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Again, since it is a community college, it often feels like it is out of touch with the real world. Frequently, the most competent professors are close to retiring and have been out of the industry, so they can't advise you as well about applications, only about theory. Also, the funding for school materials, especially in STEM is lacking. Also, academically, it often feels like teachers dumb things down too much, making a transition to a university more difficult. Material is often watered down to help people that don't speak English well to pass with a C, which is great for them, but how will I know if I have learned enough or not?

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: I got to try out a lot of new things.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I can't really say mich because I haven't spent enough time with the program to really know.
