Party Scene: House parties can get old and if you aren't 21 then there isn't much else to do.

Party Scene: Parties are often far away from campus and you see the same people at most of them.

Party Scene: The parties range from boring- super fun. They are usually house parties which tend to get annoying quickly. I don't prefer to go usually. I am not sure about bar life, not old enough.

To be honest, there is not much in the way of nighttime hangouts for students. For the over-21 crowd, Green Turtle, Monkey Barrel, and Breaktime bars are popular hangouts. However, there are not many other good options, unless students are willing to travel to Ocean City, which is about a half-hour drive from campus. Ocean City also boasts the most popular nightclubs in the area, while Salisbury has none. The only other option for off-campus "nightlife" in Salisbury is the late-night eatery route, including the likes of Dunkin' Donuts and McDonald's, but nobody really wants to hang out at Mickey D's all night. On campus, comedians, such as Lee Camp, and musicians, such as the All-American Rejects, perform for packed auditoriums, but these events are not very regular.

Although official nightlife is scarce, the party scene certainly is strong on and around campus. A large number of students goes out Thursday through Saturday nights, usually after 10 p.m., and jumps around from one party to another. It is not unusual to look outside at midnight, especially on weekends, and see a campus full of people hanging out. Parties are also held in dorm rooms, with just a few friends and some beer. Despite the drinking, the atmosphere is very relaxed and for non-drinkers, there is no great peer pressure, so they too can enjoy themselves. On the whole, there are on-campus events, but drinking is certainly the preferred nighttime activity on the weekend.
