4 College Freshman

Local Area: The locals are very friendly. There are some sketchy neighborhoods right by campus, but on campus is safe.

2 College Freshman

Local Area: The city is really small and has many bad neighborhoods around the college. Things to do off campus is always driving, but usually only 15 or 30 mins away. Also, the only things close by is a mall, outlets, and Ocean City which I'm not complaining about that. Since there's not much to do, most people go home on the weekends.

3 College Freshman

Local Area: If you have a car to get places, downtown is very cute and nice.

2 College Freshman

Local Area: sketchy neighborhood. no really a college campus.

3 College Freshman

Local Area: there are many stores near campus that are within walking distance. and there is a mall near by that students can take the shuttle to. i personally find the area safe

Salisbury is a small Maryland town in the heart of the Delmarva Peninsula. Other than a brick-lined historic downtown, the city is a look to the future, with new establishments and residences constantly in progress. The atmosphere is calming, and the climate gives ode to the beach. The city is dotted with scenic parks, many shops, eateries, and hotels. Many historic small towns surround Salisbury, with buildings from the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, as well as museums honoring figures such as Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman. Finally, there are several beaches a short drive away—perfect for a day or weekend getaway.

The campus is strategically located on the major roadway that runs through the city. Only a short walk away are several schools, eateries, grocery stores, a hospital, and one of the city's most beautiful parks. However, most students complain that there are not many activities that cater to the college crowd. To supplement this, the Crown Sports Center was established, which provides several indoor fields for various sports, as well as arcade games and a laser tag arena. Salisbury is definitely a college town and is working to cater to its students. Therefore, businesses are always looking to better their appeal to students through discounts and giveaways, and new businesses are constantly arriving to provide new options. In short, while Salisbury has plenty to offer, it has ways to go before becoming completely student friendly.
