3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The food here has it's ups and downs. I feel like it is always the same options. Also, GULLS NEST is delicious however it lacks healthy food options, making that freshman 15 near impossible to avoid. Commons closes early on weekends leaving you to eat unhealthy gulls nest or take out or fast food. It gets expensive, plus the money you already spent on your meal plan.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: Havent really used the food options on campus yet

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The dining could be a lot better, especially considering how much I pay for it all.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: While there is an adequate amount of food choices, the commons does not always provide the best quality of the food.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: I find I got really bored of Commons really quickly. The satellite dining locations and Gull's Nest are pretty nice where you can use the dining dollars that come with your meal plan but again, it all gets old eventually. You'll find yourself walking to Chipotle regularly.

Good eating. This phrase certainly characterizes the on-campus dining options at Salisbury. All students living on campus are required to have a meal plan, except for those in Chesapeake Hall. The plans range from unlimited visits to the Commons—the dining hall—to plans providing five meals a week. Whatever the plan, the Dining Services staff does its best to provide a variety of dining options. These are divided between the Marketplace and Bistro. The Marketplace provides fried food, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, burgers, and other fast foods. The Bistro provides more upscale, healthier meals for those not prone to burgers every night. Furthermore, every couple of weeks, the Bistro holds themed nights such as Easter Dinner or Champagne Breakfast at Dinner. For students on the go, there are satellite dining locations that provide burgers and sandwiches. Most prominently, the Gull's Nest is a one-stop sub, burger, pizza, and salad joint.

While the food is certainly great, the atmosphere is the icing on the cake. The Commons has several different dining rooms that allow for a large amount of students. Bistro dining, attached to the Bistro, is a soft atmosphere with soothing lighting. Dorchester dining, the largest of the dining rooms, provides long tables for many students to sit together and converse and is definitely the hub of socializing. The Rotunda contains several picnic tables for a much more open dining experience. No matter which seating area you choose, the Commons is a place to socialize and meet other students and is a great place for fostering friendships.

Special Options
The Commons dining hall always works to accommodate those with special dining needs. First, there are always significant vegetarian options available. Also, if a student is ill, that student may request sick meals that may be picked up by a friend. Also, the Bistro, which is the upscale food section in the hall, has special dining nights covering food from many countries, cultures, and regions.
