Tuition & Financial Aid: The $60,000 that I will have paid by the time I am done with my Bachelor's will not be worth it. From August 2010 until 2014, tuition for a Bachelor's degree jumped $20,000. The school requires you to go to school for 3 semesters a year to graduate in 4 years. If you do not do summer classes than you have to reapply in the fall. When you go to school year round, your financial aide only covers 2 out of 3 semesters.

Student Body: SIU is an international college so while I was on campus I met people of many different ethnicities.

Online Courses: The classwork and learning technique is very do-it-yourself. If you have any questions or are confused about what you are reading/learning, you can e-mail the professor, but you may not get far with their answer. For classwork there are weekly discussions, basically reading responses from other students about things that you have already read, and tests; that is mainly what the classes consist of.

Campus Resources: The library is huge (even though I never used it), they are all about athletics, and there are plenty of activities/field trips.

Academic Experience: Most of the courses at SIU do not really fulfill any of the knowledge that you would need for your future career.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: You can not pick your classes. If a class you need is not offered that month, then you will take a random class that is available that has nothing to do with your major or curriculum.

Overall Experience: When I applied to this school it was for a soccer scholarship, which covers bare minimum, no matter how much financial aide you already receive. I feel as if some of the courses I've taken had nothing to do with my major, would not help in the career I was interested in, or as if they left a few important classes out.

Overall Experience: I think the class sizes are just right! The professors are great!

Online Courses: I love my online classes they are easy to navigate and the teachers are very helpful!

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: They were able to take almost the full amount of credits

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The admissions and financial aid will work with you and stay in contact with you throughout the acceptance and help you in away that they can to get you on the road to your degree.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid department laid everything on the line about how much money I would receive for financial aid and what I would have to make up for if there was a difference.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: All the courses are important for the degree that I am seeking.

Online Courses: With online courses you can work at your own pace and it fits into my busy life of being a single mother and working full-time.

1 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I just only went there for Basketball. Even basketball was hard to stick through.

Campus Quality: I feel like what sets the school apart from other schools is the fact that I feel like Salem is not a real college. I have one class a month and only four days a week. There is no campus life at all. There is really no community. It's just not a school I would recommend anyone going too.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: I am not sure how it is.

1 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The wifi at the school is horrible. We do have computer labs, but they sometimes do not work.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: We have a library, but anyone barley use it. We also don't have campus activities. Everyone mostly use the weight room and the gym.

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: I say having an online class is the best because it helps me get to know information better. I feel much closer to the teacher and the students. Also, it has a lot of research and it helps me look up information for my work assignments.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: The typical students at Salem are athletic. Everyone there goes to Salem for sports because its easy to get a scholarship there. The females there are mostly gay and the guys are mostly just looking to hook up with people. Overall, it's am international school meaning we have a lot of people from all over the world.
