Party Scene

{{ error }}
3 College Senior

Party Scene: as a commuter and a full time owner, I have no time to attend such parties. so I assume it's fine.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: There aren't many parties like you would imagine in college. Since Greek life isn't that big here, there aren't huge frat parties to go to.

3 College Senior

Party Scene: There is really not much to do if you are under 21. The RAs are strict all around campus and you dont want to get written up.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: The party scene generally doesn't consist of the huge parties that some of the state schools have, but the medium sized parties that happen in the apartments are generally a good time.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: The technology here is great!

With SLU located right in Midtown St. Louis, you will never get bored. There are hundreds of options for off-campus and on-campus nighttime entertainment. On SLU's campus, there are a variety of events to keep students busy. Billikens After Dark puts on alcohol-alternative programming, such as campus-wide capture the flag, glow party dances, mock game shows with prizes, spa nights, and carnivals in the Quad. The Billiken Club, a small concert venue located on campus in the student center, puts on free indie concerts multiple times a month. Student organizations also frequently sponsor free events on campus. Greek organizations have social events multiple times a semester, and because there are no Greek houses on campus, events are held off campus, and students are bused to and from events.

Off campus, the apartments located around campus are frequent weekend party stops for students. There is also a variety of bars throughout the city that are known for being easy to get into if you're underage. If you're 21 or older, there are bars within walking distance and a variety of neighborhoods that are a short cab ride away. Washington Avenue is especially popular with SLU students because of the nightlife options and its proximity to campus. Soulard, home of Mardi Gras and Oktoberfest, is another popular area. The Central West End is only about a mile from SLU and has karaoke, pubs, and clubs. St. Louis is also a stop on most music and comedy tours. With concert venues of many sizes, there are always shows in town. St. Louis also has great malls, movie theaters, restaurants, and the City Museum to occupy the college-age population.
