On-campus dining improves in quality and variety of food options each year. There are two all-you-can-eat cafeterias on campus in two of the large freshman residence halls. These locations offer salad and sandwich bars, a cereal bar, a section that features rotating American foods (burgers, fries, chicken tender, grilled cheese), and an entrée section that varies from stir-fry to pasta. Other eating options on campus include sushi, Chick-fil-a, various sandwich and wrap shops, a vegetarian cafeteria, pasta and pizza shops, Tex-Mex, Subway, Au Bon Pain, Kaldi's and Starbucks coffee shops, and Argo Tea. Despite all the options, students who live in the dorms do get bored, and students who live off campus welcome the options outside of their apartment kitchens!
Meal plans include meal swipes and flex points. Meal swipes can be used at the three cafeterias for all meal times. One night a week, various food courts and restaurants that normally accept flex points have a "swipe night" where you can use a meal swipe for up to $7 worth of food. There is a swipe night every weeknight. Flex points are basically a gift card on your student ID that you can use at any on-campus eating location. Students tend to complain about the hours of dining locations, as meal swipes end at 7 p.m. There are locations open late at night and also on weekends, so although there are food options, they may not be a student's first choice.
