1 College Freshman

Party Scene: Commuter school. Not really any night life unless you plan meeting friends at an area bar or club.

1 College Freshman

Party Scene: Not a party school. Not necessarily a bad thing!

4 College Freshman

Academics: Excellent for the areas they concentrate in, primarily education and recreation. Professors are generally very committed and helpful. Workload is demanding but not overwhelming.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Everyone is very excepting of each other.

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Students here are serious about their school work and life. Very little evidence of drug use.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Great security. Feel very safe. Health and wellness center always available.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Small class size. Teachers get to know you and are available to help.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: None for helping to secure internships and job placement. Available to recent grads for advise and guidance.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Not interested and can't really comment.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Fan support is very high for a low level college sports program. Athletes put academics first but still take pride in their performance.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Small classes. Helpful professors. Love working at the Library and being in choir.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The students here act as if they are still in hs

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I think the academics are great and I definitely am learning a lot compared to other schools on the island

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: There really is no party scene considering it's a commuter school, although some of the frats or sports teams will throw house parties sometime

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: It's not very diverse, but everyone is very accepting

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: It's a dry campus so there is a lot of drug safety

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Extremely safe. We have a health and wellness center open to anyone and campus is very strict about student safety

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Some professors ate phenomenal and others are horrible. It's pretty much a hit or miss. As far as the education department goes, the education classes are great and you really learn a lot, but I think the core courses are a waste of time. For example you need an art history credit for education and I feel like I didn't learn a thing and will never use any of that information again

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: St. joes is a great school for internships. I know a lot of people who have gotten jobs right out of college no matter what their major is

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I'm personally not a big fan of Greek life. We recently became a Panhellenic school and I liked it a lot better when Rush was informal. But other than that if you're not involved in Greek life no one will really treat you differently

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: We're a dIII school so athletics are nothing special, but it seems like everyone on sports teams enjoys them

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have a love hate relationship with St Joes. The small homey atmosphere is great but at the same time it's very cliquey and kind of gives you a high school feel. Some of the professors are wonderful but many of them are also terrible. It's a great school for education with many opportunities that other schools don't have. The only complaint I have about the education program is there are way too many core course requirements, but other than that the classes are amazing. The academic center is also extremely helpful. The administration is kind of all over the place and ever since they got the new president there have been so many unnecessary changes. If you're having an issue it can sometimes be a hassle to find the right person to resolve it. If I wasn't an education major I don't think St. Joes would be worth it

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: We have our own health and wellness center that is willing to work with anyone and the security and staff make the campus a very comfortable and safe place to be.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: My overall experience at St. Joseph's College is great. I have learned so much from my professors and my peers. I love playing softball and really enjoy all the friends I have made. I have done a lot better with my college career so far than with my high school career. The only problem that I have had with this school was registration and the academic advisors.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: So far I have enjoyed what my major entails. When learning what I am going to be working with in my future I love listening to the details and facts of the career.
