3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: In upper level classes, there are not many sections offered in each course. Class sizes are pretty good and the professors really care about their students.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The staff really want you have a good career once you graduate, but I still worry a bit about finding a job post-graduation.

Health & Safety: I think St. Cloud State takes the safety of students very seriously. You can easily call security to get an escort at night. There are blue emergency poles that have a button you can press if you don't feel safe. If you press it, a camera turns on and security is called.

Campus Housing: As far as dorms go, St. Cloud State's are pretty average. Only one, Shoemaker, has air conditioning. My room doesn't have many outlets at all. The atmosphere is pretty good, but I know a lot of students drink. I don't know if they do it in their dorm or off campus, but many people like to party.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life isn't a huge part of campus life. I don't know very many people who are part of a sorority/ fraternity.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: One of Saint Cloud State's best features is the sports. We have a great hockey team, and lots of people are extremely proud of that. Many students come here for their sport.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: While I don't have too much experience at St. Cloud State yet, I can tell that the school is very dedicated to the success of the students. There are very many resources available, and the staff wants each person to do their best. The school really advertises clubs and organizations and encourages students to get involved.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: My school is very diverse and they are people of all different sexual orientations. They are accepted and they have many clubs for them to participate in.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: I have only been to one party throughout my first year in college and over half the people there were smoking weed, so I have seen a lot of drug use at school.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Our sporting events and games are the best and I know our school is very popular with athletics because my school is always on the radio or big screen.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: St. Cloud state is actually known for it's crime rate so it can be quite scary at my school. Just stay with friends and don't walk alone in the dark. They do have safety cop squad cars so you can call them if you feel unsafe which is nice.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The professors are always willing to help you pass and email back quickly if you have questions.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Walking around in my school you see internship posters everywhere. The people that work there are alway willing to help make comfortable and help get a career you want.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Campus security is active, various distress beacons can be activated, St Cloud Police can be there at a moments notice.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Career services is there, however it is clearly focused more-so for business majors.

So far every career day has been for companies looking for low end work or just free advertising.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Dorms are all old, in need of a refresh. Some room layouts are strange and not easy to divide evenly if that is you and your roommates goal.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Its there, they do various sponsorship and try to raise money for things, but not shoved in your face.

5 College Junior

Athletics: The Hockey team is amazing and does very well every year, students get heavily involved.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: It reasonable cost wise, and in a nice area overall, however, various programs seem to vary in quality greatly in terms of accessibility to resources or effort put forth into the programs. Some of the professors I had were amazing, others really didn't seem to care, same applies for academic advising.

Cost of parking is also high for commuters, and the dorms themselves are showing their age.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: St. Cloud, has been a great experience so far, I would most definitely choose to attend St. Cloud again if I could do it over. They have a very strong criminal justice program, and the professors are easy to understand and easily approachable if you have a question

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Overall its a pretty decent school to attend. They are trying to improve it with the resources they do have.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: They offer a lot of opportunities to find internships or future jobs. The career center is really helpful.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Resources should be more easily accessed

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Alot of the dorms appear to be older and need renovations. The apartment style housing they have Coborn Plaza Apartments and Lawrence hall are the best on campus housing offered.

2 College Sophomore

Greek Life: This school needs more variety of fraternities and sororities that reflect the diverse population of the school. I don't see much activities on campus with the Greek life community.
