5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I really like the teachers and most of their methods of teaching. You have to work hard and be independent to get good grades. I think they are pretty good at transitioning you into college classes, in the 100 level courses, from high school.

Overall Experience: They have a great career center that will help you with anything from writing a resume to applying to graduate school.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: People are nice here but they really keep to themselves for the most part.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel very safe on campus. They put a lot of effort in making it a safe environment

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: I see a lot of people that are part of Greek life, it just is not for me.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Not a lot of school spirit.

Off-Campus Housing: There is no reason to live on campus and pay through the nose when there are so many options off campus that are really cheap. Maybe not the safest but you learn to lock things up and take precautions to protect yourself and your possessions

Off-Campus Dining: There are tons of options for food in St. Cloud.

4 College Freshman

Administration: They're pretty laid back, unless you park in the wrong lot. Good luck with that $30 dollar ticket every time.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: Many of the scholarships are for the areas of Sciences and Music. So if you are majoring in one of those areas you have a lot more options for scholarships.

Campus Food: Campus cash is great. I usually bring my own food because everything is pretty expensive.

Off-Campus Housing: Some landlords are great, some are awful. I got stuck with a pretty awful one for 2 years, but I had no means to move. There are some awesome places to live within walking distance, though. It's definitely worth it to live off-campus. Even though my experience wasn't ideal, I'd do it again for the location. Literally a block from campus paying a little over $300.

Off-Campus Dining: Student discounts are pretty good. Mostly chain restaurants, but there are a few good local ones. Definitely not enough vegetarian options, but there are a few gems.

Administration: From my experiences, SCSU is fairly lenient on most things. Alcohol, however, they really try to crack down on - probably because the school has a reputation as a party school and they want to try to counteract that.

Scholarships: After my parents did the FAFSA, all I received was federal grants and loans. There was no option for work study, even though I was told by multiple people I qualified for it. Very frustrating. Eventually I gave up and just accepted what I got.

Campus Food: I did not have a meal plan, but I did eat at the Grill, Subway, and Caribou frequently. Pretty much what you'd expect from a college campus. Loved the veggie burger at the grill though!!

Campus Housing: I only lived in the campus apartments, a few blocks off campus. They were fantastic, but kind of overpriced. I would have loved to stay there longer, but I couldn't afford it. On campus housing was pretty standard, a little older, but nice enough.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: You can find plenty of options, but none are going to be that great.

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of options near campus, most are downtown which is more of a bar scene, not as convenient for people under 21.

Administration: Most things that go on in the dorms are set to strict standards and thats why people tend to avoid dorm happenings.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: One can find a party very easily thursday, friday, or saturday. Usually the parties are filled with dbags so you have to be choosey.

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: Garvey is horrible, the food is bad and it is impossible to eat healthy there.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Dorms are okay just too small. Amenities are fine but could be better, and they should be better with what im paying to live here.

3 College Student

Athletics: I am not interest in spot, but I always hear my friends talked about it.

5 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: I have more choice, and food is super grate.
