Getting into the Teacher Education Program at Saginaw Valley State University has eight requirements. The requirements are fairly simple to complete and lay a good foundation for students to prepare for the Teacher Education Program. I have not ran into any challenges and have all but 2 requirements complete! The most important criteria for admission, I believe, is taking the Exploring Teaching in Physical Education class that students are required to take. It gives students experience in the classroom to help them get a better understanding of what they will be experiencing in the classroom. My program does not have an abnormal application process, the college has it set up very simple for students. A tip for admission would be to make it a statement that the Education program is very important, and that you will without a doubt work to the best of your ability and beyond to be the best educator you possibly can!

Campus housing is great ! The RA's are friendly and always helpful, I remember once our sink broke and the RA on duty came right over to see what happened and he called a repair man right away and even helped us clean it up a bit! First year suites are known as the worst housing but it was still great! There is a friendly atmosphere and you feel comfortable meeting people and there are kitchens and private bathrooms! Most roommates are matched well and there aren't many cases of roommates all out fighting, and if you start fighting your RA will happily help work it out. Overall Housing is great!

Amazing Campus Life – Campus offers a variety of facilities. The student activities center is full of things for students to do in their leisure time. The library and computer labs are nicely set up with great, quick technology which allows students access to computers and printers on campus. Students receive a print balance which allows them to print freely as well as add to if needed. There is always something going on campus. Movie nights occur every weekend while other fun activities bring everyone together. Campus is gorgeous! Flowers bloom from spring to fall while fountains glisten in the sunlight. During the winter, some bushes produce red berries which add a touch of color to the white scenery.
