Campus housing is great ! The RA's are friendly and always helpful, I remember once our sink broke and the RA on duty came right over to see what happened and he called a repair man right away and even helped us clean it up a bit! First year suites are known as the worst housing but it was still great! There is a friendly atmosphere and you feel comfortable meeting people and there are kitchens and private bathrooms! Most roommates are matched well and there aren't many cases of roommates all out fighting, and if you start fighting your RA will happily help work it out. Overall Housing is great!

I love the sense of community that is present on campus. It is close-knit and it is a very friendly atmosphere. Both the students and faculty are very supportive and welcoming. The class sizes are small, allowing the professors to get to know the students and guide them. In addition, SVSU offers many ways to get involved, such as community service, and various clubs. It's been an amazing overall experience!

Professors at SVSU: Helpful and Teach Well – Most of the professors here at SVSU are extremely nice and ever so helpful! They don't usually use teaching assistants... at least I've never seen one. They teach themselves, help you themselves, and grade everything themselves. What's really cool is how in each department, professors will help each other out and even inter-departmentally, it's amazing how much they help each other. You never have to be afraid to ask a question, because for 99% of the professors, no question is a stupid question. There are a select few that you may run into problems with, but considering the number of faculty here, there aren't that many. If there's one thing SVSU does right, it would be that they hire the best professors!
