Overall Experience: Attending Rutgers-Camden was the best decision I ever made. The campus is small so you really get the chance to be involved. The class sizes are smaller than my high school so you get to know all the professors which is great for letters of recommendation for graduate school. Rutgers is also fairly inexpensive so I have very little college loans which is wonderful. I strongly advise any South Jersey high schoolers to look into going here.

Overall Experience: The school is really hard to get into but it's a good school.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Living in a town other than Camden is a better idea.

1 College Junior

Party Scene: I do not live on campus, I do not know but it is right next to Philly so I am sure alot of people go into the city to party

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Average off campus food depends on where you go, mcdonalds, or driving further for a nice restaurant

3 College Junior

Administration: I am unsure because I do not live on campus. Have never experienced anything strict related

2 College Junior

Scholarships: Financial aid took forever to get back in touch and tell me the amt i was receiving. Then the aid that they gave me was originally wrong and they redisbursed the right amountt (which was more) almost 3 weeks later.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: Food options are only the cafeteria but it is not a bad selection

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There is one apartment complex in town and a bunch of homes for rent. If you go outside of Camden, you have a better selection.

Off-Campus Dining: The school is in Camden - nothing really happening there. But, you can take the train into the city, which has a ton of great options.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It is somewhat tough to get financial aid as a graduate student. I'm still in the process of trying to apply for scholarships.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: It is typical cafeteria food.

Health & Safety: Don't know of any issues

Greek Life: You always know who is in a frat or sorority because they are most likely wearing a shirt, jacket, or bag that shows their letters. Greek life is very serious in the fall because of formal recruitment, spring isn't that serious but it's still worth going out to a few events.

Athletics: I love sports so I personally like to attend most of the basketball and baseball games. The baseball games are held in the Campbell Soup Stadium which is really fun to attend with your friends! Basketball game were great this past year, pretty intense and fun!

Off-Campus Housing: Best place for parties. There are few options but if you get a big enough group you'll be set. I don't personally live off campus but I heard its expensive but worth it because you can make your own food compared to the food from the dining hall.

Off-Campus Dining: Only a few options because come on now, it's Camden. 711 being open 247 is the best weather you want pizza at 2am or you need to pull an all nighter and need a Monster drink. Within walking distance there is a subway, PUB, pizza place, and if you really want to get into Camden, theres a Mcdonalds. Oh and theres a Chinese place that's open until 3am on weekends, only thing about that is its 3 blocks away from campus. WORTH IT!

Administration: Best advice is to not be stupid. There are noise curfews, worst thing that happens you get a knock on the door by an RA and get told to be quiet. Drinking isn't a serious conviction here, after your third strike at least. Get too drunk? Don't worry Cooper is down the street, you'll be fine.

Scholarships: The sooner you have your FASFA done, the better you will end up. They will not contact you if your grants/scholarships haven't gone through.. The school will drop you from your classes and will deregister you. I recommend getting that out of the way before you make your final decision. Can be so difficult at times... But they work with you.

Party Scene: If you pregame enough, you'll always have a fun time. Going to a small school you would think parties suck, but it's all about how you dance and who you hangout with. Sev is always holds the after party for the big munchers!

Campus Food: To be honest, it sucks. The variety is slim to none. It's pretty much a high school lunch option kind of thing and open so late on weekends.

but sev (711) is open 24/7 so that comes in clutch a lot.

Campus Housing: Living on campus was the best decision I've ever made! Yes people, it's safe I promise. You get to meet such a variety of different people it's cool. Since this is such a big commuter school, the commuters tend to become a cult and never leave the campus center. Then you have the people that live here that just want to be friends with the commuters for the home made food! I would definitely recommend living on campus for the experience and the endless amounts of memories you can make in Camden.

Diversity: This college appears very diverse; no one ethnicity seems to take dominance over the student body as a whole.

Academics: If you're a part-time student looking to study art and your schedule is limited, you might be better off seeking an art degree elsewhere. Most of the courses offered here that serve as pre-reqs for other art courses aren't offered on a consistent basis, and these courses are the ones that fill up the quickest when they are available. These courses are almost always offered only once a year, so this might pose a problem for those wishing to graduate on time but can only take classes part time. Also, whereas other larger colleges offer more art-related courses (like, for example, Drawing 2, Drawing 3, courses pertaining to illustration or other visual design course), Rutgers Camden does not.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I don't know anything about the fraternities or sororities here; so, I cannot comment.
