Health & Safety: The Rust campus is safe, but keep your doors and windows locked because some students may decide to play pranks on you.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Campus Crime – No one is permitted on campus without a Rust College ID after 7:00 p.m. The campus always have security on hand and they are constantly riding around to make sure that anything out of the ordinary is occurring. If there is a problem on campus, somehow, the entire campus is on lock down for the rest of the night, to keep students from being a part of the problem. Overall, the security guards keep this campus crime free.

Rust College has its own health center, which is managed by a registered nurse. The Student Health Center operates an outpatient center that serves both clinical and educational functions for every student at Rust College. Services provided at the health center are primary care for illness, injuries or health problems, and general health maintenance. There are always opportunities for health education and counseling with the registered nurse or work-study students. A unique asset that the health center provides is assistance with the Student Insurance Claim filing process.

Security at Rust College needs improvement. Although there is a security system, the campus security is not efficient enough, even though the College provides a great deal of security measures. There is a listing of emergency phone numbers available to everyone in their dorm rooms. Upon request, there are escort services at night, in case you are walking alone and need to be walked to your dorm or anywhere on campus. To enter into each dorm, you have to have an appropriate ID, in which you scan to help keep strangers out of the dormitories.
