Overall Experience: As far as classes they're great. The foreign professors make sure there's a way for you to learn even if you're having a hard time understanding them.

Greek Life: I absolutely love Greek life at my college. All Greeks are very friendly, they attend every event on campus whether its dealing with Greeks or not they're still there to support. The non-Greeks here love the Greeks everyone here gets along with each other.Son far I've only been to the Q- Dog's Greek house

Campus Housing: Most of the dorms are really old and worn-down. The food selection ONLY comes from the cafe unless it's off campus. The social atmosphere is pretty good. People are very friendly.

Greek Life: Many of the Greeks are friends with a lot of non-Greeks. They wear their paraphernalia a lot. They stroll at a lot of our events, especially the parties. In the end, everybody wants to be apart of them.

Athletics: The only sport that everyone gets interested in is basketball. Unfortunately, our basketball is not all good. It just gives the students something to do. But we are still faithful and loyal to our team. Many people show up and show out.

Overall Experience: Rust College is in a really small town, making it hard to do things for fun. The campus life is not really all that big but there are improvements happening. The dorms are older but eventually you get used to it. The food is alright but after a while you get tired of eating it. We have most regular sports besides football. Some of the policies are a little outrageous, especially when it comes to the dorms. But, once again, eventually, you get used to it. It is what you make it.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Rust college is an great school, but I did not qualify for any scholarships coming to school here. My freshman year first semester was good , but I fell into the category of failure hanging with the wrong crown and among all that got sick every day with an out break of hives. Then , sophomore year I didn't not qualify for FAFSA , because I played around and failed some of the most important classes and now I am responsible for an 6,000 balance. My head is on correctly and I'm here to find aid . I will not stop trying to succeed I am the first to come to college out of an African American family.

Overall Experience: It's bearable; however, I am not happy. It is far different than what I am used to. The school doesn't make me feel like an adult. It feels like grammar school all over again at the school I attend.

Off-Campus Dining: To be a college student you need variety of travel places and there is not enough. Walmart isn't even 24hr, same restaurant's and too expensive.

Students Often Come From

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

Since Rust is a small school with a population size of a little more than 1,000 students, students get one-on-one time with the teachers, and the classroom size is typically no larger than 25 students. This allows the students to focus and get extra attention. The workload may be heavy, but you have more than enough time to meet the deadlines. One thing that isn't heavy is the parking situation. Generally, there are plenty of spaces for students, probably because most students walk. On the other hand, if it's public transit you want, you won't find it here.

The small atmosphere, while helpful when it comes to academics and parking, can be stifling when it comes to the social aspects of the school. Holly Springs isn't ripe with nightlife like other college towns, so students have to seek out entertainment. Also, with small size comes small options—as is the case when it comes to dining selection. There's only one cafeteria on campus, and if it's healthy food you're looking for, you are out of luck.
