Parking: Parking is awful, it's so expensive and far away from the buildings

1 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking on campus sucks. End of story. Nobody likes it, it's a big problem for commuter students.

Parking: Parking permits aren't cheap and spots fill up quickly in the commuter lots, but it isn't extremely necessary to have a car on campus.

3 College Freshman

Parking: Decent prices, but spaces are limited.

Parking: Parking during non-peak hours is great; finding a spot close to class is easy. But if you come to class anywhere between about 10 and 2, you'll end up walking across the entire campus. And the price for a permit is outrageous: so much so that many people simply park off campus and walk the extra distance. And they're only good for one year, whereas my previous college had free parking permits that were good forever.

Parking is an issue on campus—it is both confusing and painful. But, unfortunately, everything at Rowan and in Glassboro is very spaced out, which means students will need to drive in order to get from one place to another. However, but if you decide to leave your parking space that you spent an hour looking for to go to the store up the street, don’t expect to see it again. The best thing to do is to look for parking in rare areas.

Commuter students will need to obtain a commuter’s parking permit, and residential students will also need to get a sticker for their cars, but a permit does not guarantee anyone a spot. Another restriction is that freshmen students who live on campus can't bring a car unless they have a special reason for needing a vehicle at school, such as an off-campus job. However, instead of fighting in the parking war, many students just bring a bike because they are much easier to park.
