I love being in biology, it's interesting to learn about life not only in humans but animals and plants as well. Though there are a lot of things that need to be completed (including pre-reqs), which makes a heavy load, I believe it will all be worth it in the end. There are a lot of opportunities for work study, and currently I'm a chemistry grader. Meaning I work under professors and grade students quizzes, test, exams, etc. It's a wonderful opportunity and I'm thrilled, more so, I even get a little pay out of it! The professors are all really passionate about their subject, so they keep you captivated and motivated during class, which I think it's very important. I love my program so far, and haven't changed my mind at all.

It's downtown Chicago! It really doesn't get much better than actually attending school and living right in the heart of the South Loop. There is always something to do, especially if you're 21+. If you're a music lover, shows are constantly running in all genres. The CSO and Lyric Opera (my personal favorites) offer student tickets at HUGE discounts. The Jazz showcase has some awesome performances with great vibes. If you're looking for culture, this is the place to be. The only downside is safety, a few kids have had run-ins with local trouble, but I usually feel very safe. Just never leave at night without a friend and maybe some pepper spray tucked in your purse or coat pocket. I love living downtown.

Roosevelt University is a zero tolerate of Misconduct and absolutely an DRUG FREE campus! Any drug usage or distribution is not only breaking the university rules but it is also breaking the state law which can lead to serious consequences!Even though some students live off campus at R.O.W or 2East8th buildings they still have rules and regulations similar to students living in the U.C. building. ALL R.O.W,U.C,and 2East8th have building hours.Therefore students must report back into their rooms at their building before building hours are closed. Since the students living in the 2East8th and R.O.W building they don't have room checks like students living in the U.C building, but if any student is caught doing anything violating any of the university's policy they can be suspended or even expelled. This would go on any student's background and school records. Students can be put on Academic Provision if they are failing, and if they are living on campus their contract can be revoked.
