The food at Rockhurst University is great for college dining. Everything is a la carte so you don't have to over eat, or use your meal for the day if you just want a soda and a granola bar. Between the dining hall and the Pub (which is more cafeteria food), it gets a little old. However, there is a Planet Sub and a Starbucks downstairs in the Rec Room in order to add a little pizzaz to your dining experience. All the workers are especially friendly and always willing to cook up a special order if you ask nicely!

Coming from a larger school I have really grown to love the small school environment. Rockhurst does a fantastic job making all students feel important. While at first I did miss the extra amenities available at my previous larger, public school, I quickly understood the small sacrifices I was making in order to have a more personal and positive experience.

Parking around the campus without the school permit can be serious. You get a ticket and if its not paid within a week, it increases every month. My advice is to have your parking permit where the security is able to see it!
