Off-Campus Housing: With Rochester College residing in Rochester Hills we are certainly surrounded by many different housing options. From apartments, to condos, to houses their are many options for students deciding to live off campus. However, it is at times hard to find something with an affordable or reasonable price because of the city we live in.

Off-Campus Housing: I'm not personally looking for off-campus housing at the moment. However, I have heard that because Rochester College is right next door to Downtown Rochester Hills, most nearby off-campus housing is expensive. On a positive note, the atmosphere Downtown is so inviting, and it's so much to do, the cost may not be such a disadvantage.

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments Can Be Expensive – The campus is in a relatively affluent city, so the cost of living reflects the environment.

Off-Campus Housing: There are some apartments nearby, but not extensively. Decent houses two miles away though.

Off-Campus Housing: The Difficulty Is Not Finding Apartments, but Finding Roommates – As far as I know, Rochester College doesn't help with any off campus payments. Also, each student must abide by specific rules as to whom their roommates are, no opposite genders living together, no partying, etc. There seems to be a pretty good availability of housing options nearby, in good neighborhoods, fairly affordable as long as you have a job.

By default, most traditional undergraduates will live on campus. Upperclassmen have more flexibility in this regard, but they are still expected to commit to weekly chapel services and other worship-related activities required by the College.

Apartments in the immediate area (Rochester, northern Oakland County) ranged from about $500 to more than $800 for one- or two-bedroom apartments and townhouses.
