4 College Freshman

Transportation: We have ripon college vans and cars. We also provide transportation to the nearest airports, but only during breaks.

2 College Freshman

Transportation: Not really anyway to get anywhere, if you don't have a car you aren't going anywhere.

2 College Senior

Transportation: Since the campus is small and so is the town not much transportation is needed unless going outside of town to go shopping or what not. Most places are near by so walking is the best transportation. besides that there is a taxi service that is relatively cheap if you stay within Ripon or bring your car or bike up would be the other ways of getting around.

Student Author OverviewWhat's this?

View student contributors

There really isn't any public transportation in Ripon, but this is most likely due to the fact that it is incredibly easy to walk or bike to just about any location in town in a short amount of time. Some students decide to bring a car to campus, but in order to park it in the campus lots, you must buy a parking permit for the year. You need a new one each year, and they are priced based on how close the lots are to the residence halls. Cheaper parking is farther away.

There are campus vans that will shuttle students to and from either Milwaukee or Appleton airports before and after breaks. Shuttles are $10 one way to Appleton and $20 one way to Milwaukee. Students can sign up for the shuttles in the Office of Student Activities on campus, and generally, students need to sign up a few weeks in advance. If you try signing up right before the shuttles depart, there might not be room available. Other shuttles can be arranged for students in need, but as much notice as possible needs to be given so that a driver can be found, and the price tends to be a little bit more expensive.
