Academic Flexibility

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: The transferring of my credits is going smoothly, however I have had some troubles with my scheduling and trying to get it to agree with my work schedule while trying to take classes at RLC that will transfer over to SIUC that will meet SIUC's requirements for my degree.

Academic Flexibility: I enjoy attending RLC, except I live 40 minutes away so the drive is rough, yet i only go to school two days a week, I'm usually there for 10 or more hours, calling for a long day. If I could live closer the drive wouldn't be so bad, except paying for an apartment would cost more than the gas I pay for. My class schedule isn't very flexible due to the two day a week architecture program, and it includes only about 5 or 6 more students, who all have to fit into the same schedule. I haven't had to transfer any credits yet but I'm sure it won't be too difficult.

Academic Flexibility: I had an instructor who was absent more than 80% of the semester and she still expected everyone to keep caught up and understand. She was very difficult to work with, was not very helpful

Academic Flexibility: Convenient When Needed – Of course, my school doesn't always have what I want, yet it has what I need. I have almost always managed to make a flexible schedule each semester I have went here. The only frustrations I have had with is the attendance, science classes, and the amount of assignments we have had to do. Other than that, it seems that I should move on to my university without any trouble and be closer to my degree.

Academic Flexibility: Counselors are always easy to get to. Students can walk in at anytime with no appointment. They are always there when you need help with choosing classes. Counselors especially are good with working with student athletes. They open up registering for classes early for athletes. Over all Rend Lake is a great school.
