Online Courses: Rasmussen offers a very technologically advanced virtual online experience for the students, very efficent, timely and easy to work through. They have all of their library resources as well as live tutors, librarians ( between certain times) and over 200+ user friendly databases. The inteactions for the general online courses are poor to almost non existent, there are not real connections or friendships made. Everyclass has the same general work load with a 'discussion board' where all students answer a question specifically from that weeks general topic or reading(s). Followed by a reply post, 3-7 activites, a live lecture either at the campus or online as well as 1-2 paper assignmenrs, essays and rarely worksheets. All classes as well have 1-2 research based essays worked on over a set period of weeks for the class. I enjoy the live tutors they offer on the library home page that can reply with immediate and honest feedback.

Online Courses: I struggle with the online program, mostly because there are so many tabs and links to get to one place. Its a lot of work to perform a simple task most of the time.

Online Courses: So far the online course is great and I hope that it continues to be great.

Online Courses: I have never completed any traditional college classes. All of my classes have been online. I love my freedom that I have with my classes. I am a busy mom of two boys and I can do my homework when it fits my schedule.

Online Courses: Rasmussen College offers great on-campus classes and this campus holds a lot of fun activities and since there are smaller class sizes you tend to be grouped with a lot of the same people throughout your whole time there, so it's likely you'll know everyone in your degree and you'll have fun good relationships with classmates because of it.

Unfortunately the biggest downside to Rasmussen is their Online classes. The online class system is out dated by a long shot. it takes 6 clicks to get to anything. Your grades page requires you to run a script to "Generate" your grades. The mail system has flaws. The navigation system is terrible. Online Discussion posts are pointless because people tend to BS them completely.

Online classes are my only real complaint about Rasmussen though. I highly suggest if you choose Rasmussen as you sign up. get them to sign a statement that says that you won't have to take online classes. I was told I could take all my classes on campus, that was a lie. my degree is only taught in a few of the campuses none being in Minnesota. The design department is the best in the state, hands down.
