Overall Experience: While having an RVCC degree may not exactly help you out in your career field (It is still in Associate's degree), it can provide a solid foundation for transferring to another school or finding an entry level job. Local job postings are regularly emailed to students from the career services office.

Student Body: An extremely diverse student body thanks to the many towns that students hail from in the region. However, a popular complaint here is that while students here are great to be around, few take the opportunity to put themselves out there.

College Freshman

Overall Experience: Professors and courses are easy to pick out for preferred spots early on in the semester. But, being only a first year student, it is too soon to give a real opinion of my overall experience.

College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I consider it too early on to give a proper reflection of flexibility at RVCC. However, so far many of my professors have been understanding of my academic needs.

College Freshman

Career Services: Have yet to make use of Career services

Tuition & Financial Aid: I had not applied for financial aid, however tuition is very reasonable at this school.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: I havent seen much of the athletic centers nor the campus activities, but the student center and the library are simply amazing.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I´m very pleased with the financial aid and tuition. The tuition was incredebly low, for four classes I have to pay around 2,000. Well, I don´t have to pay for anything. I applied for the FASFA, and besides the FAFSA I was elegible for other scholarships. These scholarships covered for two semesters, the books and they even gave me the money that was not use.

Online Courses: The registration was very fast and simple, it is just to search for the class and apply. Working with the professor was good, anytime I needed help I just had to email the teacher, or just go to tutoring.

Student Body: Being in Raritan Valley Community College is amazing. It may not have the biggest campus nor a wider selecting of majors, but the teachers, students and staff are really friendly, and is great for a first start. RVCC has a wide diversity in students, and everyone fits in perfectly. I have met students who just know enough English to understand some words, and it´s amazing how we communicate; I only speak English and my native language, Spanish. In the economic part, most of the students get financial aid, just like I do. There are many clubs in RVCC, some of them are religious clubs such as the Crusade for Christ.

Academic Flexibility: You can definitely schedule your class for when you are available

Tuition & Financial Aid: Its so cheap and very affordable for almost everybody regardless of your income

Student Body: The study body at RVCC is incredibly diverse as well as the staff. The student body as well as the staff feature a variety of races as well as sexual orientations. Students come from a range of economic backgrounds throughout the state of New Jersey which creates a learning environment that encourages acknowledging different perspectives and opinions. RVCC led a diversity campaign called "Beyond the Image" which posted pictures throughout the school of students with a message about a stereotype that has been made about them. This campaign really made me feel closer to the student body and more understanding of societal issues.

Overall Experience: I've used to job board to look for jobs and rvcc sends us emails every few weeks about updated jobs.

Overall Experience: It saves a lot of money going to community college. The classes aren't bad, the professors are mostly nice and know us by name. They have a lot of courses to offer and the classes are usually no bigger than 30 students I believe. I wish the parking lot would be bigger because it is always hard to find parking during the morning and noon.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Classes aren't bad. Leave early if you have classes around noon because the parking lots get packed!

4 College Junior

Online Courses: I took my first online course this semester and I enjoy it. I thought they would be super hard but I think its better than campus.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The campus is pretty big. They have a student lounge, an entire gym, student centers, a big library, and many activities and clubs.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: They have a lot of majors to offer.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: It's boring getting through all the regular classes such as English, math, history, science... but once you get to the classes your actually majoring in it's exciting.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I'm saving a lot of money going to community college first.

3 College Junior

Career Services: There's a job board on the lions den which can help find jobs.

3 College Junior

Student Body: I didn't really meet anyone new. A lot of people go there for classes and do their work, no one is really there to make friends.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: They offer a lot of help and have many seminars each month.

1 College Freshman

Student Body: There is not much social interactions at RVCC. You can see new people everyday and not know who they are.
