3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Class sizes are moderate and some professors are good. I wish there was better classes to pick from when it comes to electives.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Overall experience was okay but nothing great. My first semester was the worst but things got better as I approached spring and summer classes.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Class schedules aren't always flexible. Register as soon as you can.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: It can be good if you plan on going to local college. But am not sure about out of state opportunities.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Many professors do not care about the students but some do but they are very far and in between. Class sizes can range from moderate to large. I wish better elective classes were available to students than what currently exists.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The school environment is ok but nothing fantastic. This school isn't quite an incredible value but is still better than most. My first semester was the worst but things continued to get better into the spring. I took a summer class and was satisfied with the course and professor. Overall on okay experience.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The workload is moderate as per most majors at this school. I feel that the curriculum needs to be revised and updated due to the fact that there are too many required classes that are not even relevant to the specific major.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Overall I like the school because it allows me to live and work locally, however some procedures can be made difficult to complete or just be a waste of time. Some professors are good but I personally feel that sometimes the bad onnes outweigh the good ones. I would only choose this school again due to the fact of it being local.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: the value of the degree from RVCC is great. students have transferred to ivy league schools and have gone on to great things. as a student, i think that you have to make the most out of your experience at any college. many students at rvcc are there to make the most out of it, while some are there because they believe they need to be in college for some reason. it is often a strange mix of students in each class because some are there to save money and some are there because they didnt do well in high school.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: My major is business administration. i have had a lot of help in picking out the right classes and professors to help make the transition from a two to four year university smooth.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: My overall experience at RVCC has been great. I didnt have great grades in high school and i was able to get recommended to be a supplimental instructor because i impressed one of my professsors. it is opportunities like this that you cannot get at a large four year university. if you are uunsure of your major or are simply wanting to go away to school because you feel like you need to get away from home, trust me, RVCC is not that bad. you will find your way there and have a lot of help from great professors along the way. after you are done you will be very glad that you did it.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The college is okay, food may be decent, but it ha good opportunities to work on campus even as a college student and has different opportunities to join multiple clubs

2 Recent Alumnus

Academic Flexibility: Courses fill up very quickly even though I got the earliest transfer day I was not able to register for some things I need. Other courses conflict with my job.

3 Recent Alumnus

Online Courses: Again, I have done all classes in person so I can't comment.

3 Recent Alumnus

Career Services: I don't feel as though I am qualified to review these services because I have not used them.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: The professors communicated consistently but often slowly making me wait a while for a response.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: I am going to school here because I have a passion for learning physics, but I feel me employment as a software developer will help me get a job much easier than my participation at school.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: Classes are average, but offers very good research positions with lots of availability to participate.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: Had to approach multiple professors and departments in order to get registered. Some were helpful; others not so much. Folks at the orientation made things very stressful by forcing you to choose a full schedule in a few hours while each request for help involved waiting in a half-hour long line.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: My courses from my previous undergrad degree transferred in very easily and it was a smooth and seamless task.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: I am in the middle of taking 2 online courses currently. I had taken one hybrid course and my experience has been great. The two classes I am in now are both great, with great professors, and much class interaction.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I have taken both in classroom classes and online classes and both have been convenient, low cost, and beneficial to me and my education/career goals. The classes are small and the professors are engaging and helpful.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: Raritan Valley has been a cost-effective and convenient institution to get me into the nursing program. I have an undergrad degree from a state university, and the quality of the education at RV is truly amazing.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: I haven't personally taken online classes, but I have heard nothing bad reguarding them.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I had always said that I would never attend the local community college in town. Here I am, over a decade after High School and I have taken a few classes in preparation for a nursing program. The quality of the education is great, the staff is great, the school is cheap, and it is definitely worth it.
