Academic Flexibility: I haven't transferred credits yet.

Online Courses: It was good, I'm just not a fan of online classes.

Overall Experience: Most of the teachers I've had, have been great! The courses are set up good, with clear teaching. You can choose from online, hybrid, or in class classes. The sizes of the classes aren't to large.

Overall Experience: Their are jobs on campus that you can apply for.

Academic Experience: Their isn't anything unique about the program I'm in.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: It's a great school, not to big, small town, great teachers.

Academic Flexibility: Could use more teacher options for better course selections. I took a chemistry class with one teacher on a Saturday, but when I wanted her again for the next semester she was canceled due to lack of people signing up. Happens quite a bit.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: Easy online courses which allowed me to take harder courses at the same time. I mostly took online ones!

Career Services: Good ODU distance learning location on campus. They had to transfer me to an in-person advisor because I wasn't online only. Very handy though. Certificate programs are diverse, and I tried one at one time. Didn't feel like I learned a lot however.

Overall Experience: Professors are usually relaxed and care about you passing. Some courses are easier than others, but some teachers have a problem with making 1-5 tests/quizzes the entire semester. This is difficult to know if you'll pass or not.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: It's in the middle of nowhere so it's hard to know if you're gonna transfer or stick to a certification program. Not the most enthusiastic location.

Academic Experience: Very relaxed classes for the most part. Some teachers aren't favorable but you can look them up beforehand. There is a shortage of teachers for some subjects, like calculus only has one teacher. Chemistry and physics are run by the same person also. Those were the only two really challenging courses I encountered. Some teachers like to make only 1-5 quizzes/tests the entire semester which doesn't help if it's a hard course. I had instances of not knowing if I was going to pass because of it. Love the relaxedness of it all though. The teachers care!

Overall Experience: As someone currently facing graduation this May from RCC, this school was a great place to start. Small campus, small amount of people, and it's very personal. Many people don't have to remember their student number right away like other colleges. The staff are friendly and inviting, and there's always small events going on. You can get to know the people but I wasn't part of the social life on campus. I did mostly online classes which they have a great selection from. Some classes required by ODU distance (which is also on campus) aren't available at RCC and might have to be taken elsewhere. They also offer NOVA distance classes, which I didn't find all that great when I took them.

Academic Flexibility: Online allows more flexibility, but you can adjust your schedule to make it easier for you if you go in person. I didn't live that far away so the times were fine for me, but if you didn't live close then you would have to make sure the time of the classes worked with you.

Online Courses: I liked being in the classroom because you could physically see your teacher and classmates, but the workload and dealing with my schedule was a bit much. Doing it online allowed me to have a flexible schedule and the workload wasn't as much. I could still interact with other students and my professor, but also have flexibility.

Career Services: I'm not sure because I haven't looked into it.

Overall Experience: Most of the professors I have had have been easy and great to work with. There has been one that wasn't so great, she wasn't mean she just overloaded you with work, was a nervous wreck (it was her first time teaching) and did not really give much help. The other professor had an attitude a bit and wasn't that flexible with work and your schedule. Other than those two everyone else I had was great.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: They have jobs you can do on campus and they always let students know when their are jobs opportunities within and outside the school. I never looked into the career aspects because they don't have mine, but they do have alto of options.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I can't do exactly the degree related to my career, but the one I am doing will still help towards it. Sometimes it is a bit challenging, but it is also very flexible and easy to get used to.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I really like it, it is almost like a high school (without all the drama). It is small so you will already know everyone or get to know them quickly. People are nice and everyone works with you.

Overall Experience: The professors are incredibly helpful and welcoming, they treat everyone as individuals and truly seem to love their jobs. The classes are small so that makes it much easier to get that one-on-one attention from your teachers that really helps you succeed.

Overall Experience: RCC is great about employment
