Recent Alumnus:Perfect balance between large university and small liberal arts feel. Community is greatly emphasized--creating a 'community of care.' While not having a football team is a drawback, it is easy to get over and students continue to root for their home teams. As a freshman who has been here for a little over a month, the work load is heavy but manageable if you balance your time.

College Junior:UGA is a really nice school and the city of the Athens is the best. There are so many people your age around you, so it's really fun and since it's a big school, there's literally something for everyone. There's even a furry's club and a medieval sword fighting club. That's how diverse the school is!

College Sophomore:I love Mercer! It was my first choice when I was applying to colleges. Today, my parents still ask me my opinion about about Mercer, and I tell them that if I was applying to colleges all over again, I would choose Mercer again. Since being at school, I have learned a lot about myself, and I have been challenged several times to grow qualities about myself that I have never before tried to enhance. One of the aspects of Mercer that I greatly appreciate is the amount of experience that I have gained. I am a sophomore majoring in Journalism, and since I have been at Mercer, I have been able to work in multiple positions in this field. When people ask me how I like Mercer, I tell them that it has certainly been a learning experience, both about myself and the field that I am studying.

College Sophomore:My overall experience has been great. I love the campus and many of the people I have met. I have, of course, met some people that were not friendly, but that will happen everywhere you go. I am very involved in several organizations and I love that. What makes my school unique is the variety of activities to become involved in. There is truly something for everyone. Also, the RAC, which is the recreational activities center is one of the best in the country. I would choose my school all over again because I feel as though I truly belong.

College Sophomore:I thoroughly enjoyed my first year at GCSU. and would definitely choose it all over again. It's a wonderful fit for me: not too big, not too small. I didn't feel overwhelmed by all of the people, yet at the same time I saw new faces every day. The campus is beautiful and very well-maintained. The downtown area is also very quaint and relaxing, and the shuttle makes it very convenient to travel to downtown Milledgeville as well.

College Sophomore:The professors are professionals and know what they are doing, but some may b scattered-brained, or they might play favorites, or can be plain stubborn. Some can be self-centered when it comes to their style of work, so they don't have much room for anilyzing others. Some are harsh graders, especialy professors who tach English, Speech, Art History, and etc., they aren't very lenient even though we are art students. Just be careful of the professor that you pick.

College Junior:I've heard of several people that have gone on to do what they wanted. I've also heard of people who still work at their high school jobs following college. There is no employer recruiting on campus. The alumni network is nonexistent. There is no career center that I've been made aware of.

Recent Alumnus:Oglethorpe was overall a wonderful experience for me. The administration can be difficult and the school has changed a lot since I first enrolled, mostly in terms of the student body, but I love the professors and the classwork was rewarding.

College Senior:In some classes the professors seem to forget that we have other classes and gives us a lot of work. However, tutoring is offered the whole semester for any topic. The most popular study areas are my dorm, the library, and computer labs.

College Sophomore:The University campus and curriculum is great. I think the university system laws need to be revised as far as costs. A junior in an associate program should be able to receive loans at a higher amount if the cost of living on campus is going to remain so high. Living on Armstrong's campus is very expensive and the meal plan is also very expensive for it's quality.

College Sophomore:The Education department at my school is extensive. Students are challenged in many ways and have many opportunities to get field experience. Covenant College hopes to help students find out whether or not their choice in major is a good fit for them.
