4 College Sophomore

Party Scene: If you are into big parties join a frat, if you like to dorm drink and chill you can.

4 College Sophomore

Party Scene: They have things to do for everyone

2 College Sophomore

Party Scene: No one is really on campus on the weekends and due to heightened rules, people are afraid to get together

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: I'm not a big party person but I have been to some. When there are multiple parties and every one is in the quads, it is really fun. It can get boring on some nights but I'm okay with that.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: Most people complain about the party scene but it doesn't really effect me much considering I can always find something interesting to do without a party.

Ramapo College’s party scene tends to revolve around the on-campus apartments, where noise complaints are less likely to occur and the space per room is large enough to warrant a party. Parties at Ramapo tend to be smaller, especially parties not associated with Greek life in any way, with attendees numbering between 10 and 40 (though larger parties do happen). Larger parties, some of which have upwards of 100 people, tend to take place in The Village, where the outdoor quad allows for some spillover; however, large parties or parties with guests outdoors attract Campus Security and tend to be broken up. Students who are caught serving alcohol to underage students (or are underage themselves) can expect fines and possible disciplinary action.

The so-called “party days," when most students tend to have parties, are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Due to a high number of commuters and students who live nearby, much of the population runs home every weekend to have their parents do their laundry for them, thereby achieving the true college experience and preparing them for the real world. The most easily accessible and popular club off campus is Pub 17, located on Route 17, just a few minutes away from campus. There are other options available for students, but most of these involve traveling much farther distances.
