3 College Senior

Parking: Public safety needs to stop worrying about busting parking and start enforcing more parking tickets. Where you are a commuter, senior or freshman you are assigned parking sections in the lot and the commuters or freshmen do not follow that rule and park in the senior section causing us to park father away and getting parking tickets for not parking into our section. Other than that issue parking on campus is not an issue

3 College Student

Parking: It really fills up. It is also inconvenient that it's at the bottom of the hill.

3 College Junior

Parking: It's usually easy and quick to find parking on campus depending on where you dorm. Some lots tend to fill up quick during the day

3 College Sophomore

Parking: Public Safety is a pain, but otherwise parking is available.

4 College Senior

Parking: The parking enforcement can be overboard at times.

Students are allowed to bring their cars to Ramapo for all four years, with parking on campus costing $200 per year. The reason it is done this way is because parking goes strictly by which residence a student lives in for a year. Should a student change residences on campus, they would have to obtain a new parking permit. Parking permits are obtained through thepermitstore.com, where they are custom to the school and residence, and mailed to a location of your choosing.

Students have a two-week grace period from move-in to obtain a permit for their car. After this time, students can and will be ticketed regardless of having paid for the parking and ordering the permit. In addition, the permit must be made visible in the rear window of a car. A fine for a sticker not on display is $80.
