Off-Campus Housing: There is literally no off campus housing. The area is just too expensive. If you want to live off campus, you're only real option is going a few minutes across the border into New York state. The campus residence halls are nice and worth the cost. Almost every one lives on campus so there really isn't a point to living off campus. It's only really a few of the fraternity houses that are off campus.

2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Iff you go to Ramapo almost everyone lives on Campus. Bergen county in extremely expensive to live in therefore everyone stays on campus. There are a couple frat houses off campus in New York but other than that everyone dorms.

1 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Again this campus is in the middle of nowhere, so finding off campus housing is impossible, and your options are not great. Also proximity is not very close and very expensive.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I don't know that much about off-campus housing but the areas around are very expensive

Aside from commuters whose families live in the surrounding area, there is little to no off-campus housing available to students. Mahwah is an upper-class area and property tends to be expensive; finding housing that is on a student's budget is next to impossible.

Students that elect to live off campus would do well looking in areas farther from Mahwah and braving a longer commute. Ramapo College does not have any official off-campus housing available at special or discounted prices; housing is guaranteed on campus for all four years for students in good academic and disciplinary standing. Students would be advised to live on campus, as it is the best deal in the area.
