Off-Campus Dining

Off-Campus Dining: There are many options to choose from and they are all in close vicinity.

Off-Campus Dining: The great thing about staying in New Jersey is that I still have close access to the Jersey pizza and bagels I love. There are a lot of great pizza places near by. Bagel Train is a popular bagel place that students love. We are also located not too far from two 24 hour Dunkin Donuts and a Starbucks. There is also a Chipotle, Panera, Wendy's, Boston Market, and other chain restaurants near by. Being right by Route 17 gives us access to a lot of off campus food options.

Off-Campus Dining: I haven't been to too many off-campus restaurants in the Mahwah area, but there are some good ones - Biggie's Clam Bar on Route 17 in Ramsey has the best coconut shrimp in the Garden State, while Bagel Train in Suffern, NY makes the best bagels and breakfast sandwiches anywhere. Although I've never been there, State Line Diner is also said to have a great variety of menu items.

Off-Campus Dining: We live in an area where we have somewhere great to eat on every corner. We are surely not lacking quality food in this area.

Off-Campus Dining: Ramapo is right by route 17. There are a variety of options on that highway. Also there are great spots in Mahwah like the Mason Jar, Nona's Pizza and Chicken and Rib Crib. The prices are average, just like any restaurant and most places give student discounts.

Dining off campus at Ramapo allows for a much greater variety, as the College is located right next to several major highways. However, one doesn’t even need to hit the road to find quality off-campus dining. Aside from standard fast food affairs like KFC or Taco Bell, there is Pizza Master, which delivers and serves excellent pizza. Other pizza places include Sonny & Tony’s and Jersey Boys. A mere five minutes away, Moe’s Southwest Grill is a college favorite, serving tacos, burritos, and other Southwestern Tex-Mex food at a decent price. You get a lot of food for a little price at Moe’s, and it is very filling, particularly the overstuffed burritos. Like any good New Jersey location, Ramapo is also close to several diners, the most clean and convenient of which being State Line Diner.

There are many Chinese food takeout and delivery places available, and many of them will advertise themselves to you, particularly Wah Sing, which will place a menu in your door roughly every week. Wah Sing, Ramsey Chinese, and Shanghai Chinese are all interchangeable, and each student should try all three before making a decision as to which, if any, is their favorite. For those looking for a less cheap night out, there are other restaurants nearby, particularly the Mason Jar and the River Palm Terrace, to take family or a date.
