Off-Campus Dining

{{ error }}
3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Radford is a small town, so you really only have the essentials.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There not many options, pretty much pizza places and Chinese food. The cost isn't bad but the delivery minimum can be when you really just wanted one item but it's too far to walk. Some places take RUExpress which is a plus if you don't have any money on your debit/credit card.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Better than eating on campus, but not always worth the money.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Some really good Chinese places

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There adding more food places which is nice, there isn't much close for walking distance but the next town over which is only 2min away has a lot of fast food options

There are many options available to students who want to eat off campus, from chain restaurants to privately-owned, intimate dining experiences. The different styles and types of food off campus suit almost every taste. There are also several options of every variety of food, with prices and quality being very good.

While there are many old standbys, such as Macado's and Sonic, new restaurants are constantly springing up in Radford. Sal's Italian Restaurant and Pizza has been a favorite for students to take a date and has been voted the No. 1 Italian restaurant in the New River Valley. Most restaurants in the area are within walking distance from campus, usually less than a mile. Others—such as Sonic, Sal's, and Hank's—are a bit farther, but easily accessible if you have time for a long walk, a bike ride, or a quick car trip. Prices are very reasonable, and often a student can spend less then $10 on a very satisfying meal.
