Local Area: I love the area. It is a change from were I grew up and there is a lot of thing you can do.

Local Area: Downtown Portland is the place to be when it comes to activities, events, shopping, and sports. Everything is down here and all you need to do is go out in order to get it. Unfortunately many of the events that go on in downtown have an age limit. There have been times I have wanted to go to an event but you must be 21+ to attend. That sucks but there are always things happening at school that you can go to and there is PLENTY of shopping you can do. Really it is a great place to get anything you need. There is a little shop for everything and then you have Powell's. Powell's is this huge bookstore downtown that you can easily get lost in. I seriously suggest checking it out.

Local Area: Overall, Portland has been good to me (not counting the weather). I am from Hawaii where almost everyday is hot so the weather has been the only challenge for me so far. Portland is more of the city area so to see more scenic areas, we would have to travel outside and the most convenient way to do that is either the max or a car. I love to shop so Portland is the perfect place and there was times where it felt a little unsafe in certain areas but everywhere you go will be like that now days.
