3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Living near campus is ok. Kind of expensive

Campus Housing: Campus housing is spacious compared to other dorms, however it is pricey and there is a sever lack of community.

Campus Housing: There are a lot of housing options for upper classmen (sophomores and up). Each building has its own perks, and everything is reasonably priced for the downtown location.

Campus Housing: Very clean, feels like an apartment building. More space in the sleeping room area would be nice, but it's a dorm, so it's understandable. The social life here is kind of lacking, and that's probably because house parties aren't really possible in downtown Portland; but most of the people here find their spot and group of friends pretty quickly and seem content--really minimal drama. All of my issues involving people have actually been rooted in the RA's, which are kind of a pain. The biggest downside though, is the expense. Housing costs are ridiculous and a required meal plan for freshman students only adds salt to the wound. Getting financial aid is hard enough, without even considering housing. I will say that it is insanely convenient to live so close to downtown; shopping is a breeze, getting a job is a little easier with so many shops, and there's usually something to do. There's a bit of good and a bit of bad; all in all, it's survivable.

Campus Housing: Living on campus is great, my dorm is more like a loft apartment. It has a private bathroom, a small kitchen and a spacious living area.
