Health & Safety: I'm a male, and I haven't been raped. Carry pepper spray if you want it.

Overall Experience: Don't go here and waste your money. Go traditional

Athletics: Not the worst but not the best either. We are not well-known for our sports because they are not doing too well. Students still have school spirit though!

3 College Freshman

Administration: They are not too strict as long as you respect others around you and the rules that they provide.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Safety is not a concern. There are homeless people that hang out on some blocks but they have not posed a threat so far. There are campus security and police that circle as needed. Because the school is in the middle of the city, it is hard to get away with something dangerous without anyone noticing

Majors: I am doing the nursing pre-reqs and so far it has been good. I wish they had more professional programs but they don't. The most common major will have to be business. I enjoy most of my classes but like anyone else, struggle in other areas.

4 College Freshman

Academics: There is a lot to choose from but I wish they had a nursing program. The professors I've had so far have been good to me. They are very lenient but not too much to where you can get away with everything. The workload just depends on the class and the amount of credits you are taking. Overall, I think this school will get you far. It challenges you the way it should.

Local Area: Overall, Portland has been good to me (not counting the weather). I am from Hawaii where almost everyday is hot so the weather has been the only challenge for me so far. Portland is more of the city area so to see more scenic areas, we would have to travel outside and the most convenient way to do that is either the max or a car. I love to shop so Portland is the perfect place and there was times where it felt a little unsafe in certain areas but everywhere you go will be like that now days.

Party Scene: I have not been to any big parties like they show on T.V.'s The most I've been to was at a friends house that did not have more than 20 people. I am not really into the party scene anymore so I would not know where all of the good spots are.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The service was really good. I got used to it pretty quickly. You can find a job on campus or off campus is not that hard to find one

Off-Campus Housing: they have a lot of great studios and apartment around campus. It will be better if you find a roommate to live with because is expensive to find a place close to campus. It is downtown. But is worth it sometimes.

4 College Junior

Local Area: We have a lot of bars around downtown. Mall is super close, you can go walking and a lot of cultural events. People from japan, Spain, Mexico Arabic and so much cultural diversity. Sports, if you like basketball we have the blazzers stadium super close on the bus. Local activities are good too.

Campus Housing: the campus housing facilities are great. it all depends in where you going to stay. they have from the cheapest and small to the big and expensive. But they are all good and clean. I like it a lot because you are in downtown and the nightlife is great. You have a lot restaurants, concerts to go and much more. And they have a good community amongst the students housing residents.

Greek Life: the greek life is not that great. we only have a few chapter. we have like 3 fraternity and one sorority. They do things for the community like help other people gathering founds. doing activities to help the community around campus. They throw parties as well and they are fun.

Athletics: I attend to Portland State university in Oregon and the athletics department is really good. The re model the rec center with new courts, gym, swimming pools, rock climbing etc. I'm in the tennis club, ping pong club and badminton club. And I like all the facilities that the schools provides.

4 College Junior

Academics: With over 220 majors you have plenty of classes to choose from. You also have University Studies if your not an honor student with these studies you can choose what cluster you want to take. You get to choose something that you are interested in. The professors are awesome, very helpful, some have great office hours so you can get a hold of them.

Local Area: Living in Downtown Portland is the best because you can do many things in one day. You have plenty of things to do you will never have nothing to do. This town is all about getting out and exploring the city but also mother nature. You can go to the mountains, or the beach which are both about an hour away. The nightlife is great many different places to hangout in.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Well it is Downtown Portland you have many options and many different cost. You can go late at night and you will find something to eat. This is the beauty of living in a big city.

3 College Junior

Athletics: I have never attended a game at Portland State so I don't really know what it is like at the games. I do know some of the players because they live in my dorm but that is about it.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Every student is different here at Portland State. Many different people from many different backgrounds. You are bound to find someone who has similar interest or hobbies as you do. The social life is pretty chill not very many parties. It is easy to meet new people with a campus this big but in such a small space. Plus Portland is an awesome place you can do so much in such a big city.

5 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: It's downtown portland. There is everything

3 College Student

Majors: There doesn't seem to be many choices for the career I want to pursue through my major

2 College Student

Scholarships: I got a loan removed without a notice because of a scholarship I had recieved
