4 College Freshman

Campus Food: There's a Chipotle IN MY DORM. How can you pass that

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Food carts, restaurants, everywhere! But the only thing that's 24 hours is Subway :(

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Great apartments but prices vary.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The campus is in downtown so you'll see a homeless person everyday. The bar across from my dorm gives for occasional bar fights (fun to watch!).

5 College Freshman

Local Area: PSU is in downtown Portland.. it doesn't get any better than that!

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Beautiful dorms! I'm in love with Broadway and can't wait to move into University Pointe with my best friends!

3 College Freshman

Academics: The general ed (FRINQ) is the stupidest thing ever.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Only reason why I came to this school: PSU gave me the biggest scholarship out of all the schools that I was accepted into.

2 College Freshman

Athletics: Athletics aren't big on campus, but the athletes are super cool.

5 College Freshman

Administration: Luckily my RA's are pretty chill.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: PSU is not a college town kind of campus, so parties are hard to come by unless it's a big holiday like Halloween. University Pointe has the best parties. Broadway has kickback potential. Ondine is the worst place to find a party.

3 College Freshman

Majors: Easy to get in to anything. Pick a major with significance, not Letter Drawing

Party Scene: THERE ARE NO PARTIES! None, anywhere on campus. DO NOT GO HERE

Health & Safety: I'm a male, and I haven't been raped. Carry pepper spray if you want it.

College Freshman

Greek Life: There is one sorority and one "professional" fraternity. Both have STRICT underage drinking policies and they don't party. They have "kickbacks", i.e.- they meet in bars or pubs.

1 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Don't go here and waste your money. Go traditional

2 College Freshman

Athletics: Not the worst but not the best either. We are not well-known for our sports because they are not doing too well. Students still have school spirit though!

3 College Freshman

Administration: They are not too strict as long as you respect others around you and the rules that they provide.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Safety is not a concern. There are homeless people that hang out on some blocks but they have not posed a threat so far. There are campus security and police that circle as needed. Because the school is in the middle of the city, it is hard to get away with something dangerous without anyone noticing

3 College Freshman

Majors: I am doing the nursing pre-reqs and so far it has been good. I wish they had more professional programs but they don't. The most common major will have to be business. I enjoy most of my classes but like anyone else, struggle in other areas.

4 College Freshman

Academics: There is a lot to choose from but I wish they had a nursing program. The professors I've had so far have been good to me. They are very lenient but not too much to where you can get away with everything. The workload just depends on the class and the amount of credits you are taking. Overall, I think this school will get you far. It challenges you the way it should.

Local Area: Overall, Portland has been good to me (not counting the weather). I am from Hawaii where almost everyday is hot so the weather has been the only challenge for me so far. Portland is more of the city area so to see more scenic areas, we would have to travel outside and the most convenient way to do that is either the max or a car. I love to shop so Portland is the perfect place and there was times where it felt a little unsafe in certain areas but everywhere you go will be like that now days.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I have not been to any big parties like they show on T.V.'s The most I've been to was at a friends house that did not have more than 20 people. I am not really into the party scene anymore so I would not know where all of the good spots are.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The service was really good. I got used to it pretty quickly. You can find a job on campus or off campus is not that hard to find one

Off-Campus Housing: they have a lot of great studios and apartment around campus. It will be better if you find a roommate to live with because is expensive to find a place close to campus. It is downtown. But is worth it sometimes.
