Majors: There doesn't seem to be many choices for the career I want to pursue through my major

2 College Student

Scholarships: I got a loan removed without a notice because of a scholarship I had recieved

3 College Student

Overall Experience: There are certain things I like and dislike, but that could go for any school

3 College Student

Athletics: Not many people attend athletic events

4 College Student

Academics: Every professor is very helpful and understanding for the most part

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There's a good variety of off-campus dining so that students will explore options on what is interesting to them. The cost and convenience is okay as it's quite manageable and reasonable. But I don't think I've seen any student discounts so far, and I'm not fully sure what would be the best places to visit.

Local Area: The local atmosphere of Portland is quite interesting as there are different things going on in Pioneer Square as they hold a lot of events that attracts people, an example in this case is the tree lighting ceremony. Safety in Portland is okay (from the places I've been to) as around Pioneer Square I have seen many officers patrolling the area and that adds to the safety. The local attitudes towards students is normal as everyone is treated equally.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: My specific program is the school of business. I do enjoy it as I am able to learn more about the business field and what things are necessary for jobs, etc. The workload is quite normal and the right amount for having classes two to three times a week, the curriculum is quite fair so that everyone has an equal chance. The facility is okay as there is adequate room for students to go to class, enough rooms for the study rooms/lounges as well are being able to meet the professors during office hours for help.

Off-Campus Housing: The off-campus housing looks okay as I have seen them from a distance, they are in good proximity to public transportation

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I have noticed that campus is safe as I am there daily, but I'm only there in the mornings and early afternoon. I am not sure how safe it is after dark. But I have seen security walking around campus and I feel safe because of that.

Greek Life: I think Greek life is okay, as I have seen them do fundraisers that help the community

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Not very into driving to campus. I am off campus so i take the max and bus.

5 College Sophomore

Local Area: Fun times and fun people.

5 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I dont know much about this subject.

Academics: The school really cares about your success at Portland State. The school offers and does a good job of putting out resources for students to get homework help, office hours, and offer a variety of quiet places where students can study.

5 College Freshman

Majors: Portland State has a very high acceptance rate of 70% and the process of applying to Portland State is very easy and took me like 20 minutes to do. Plus the plus side is that Portland State does not require you to write an essay to get in or ask for teacher recommendations.

Guys & Girls: Portland State is very diverse and respects diversity very much. The school does a good job of providing resources for all kinds of people and various diverse groups.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The campus of Portland State is lenient but they have rules to keep students safe. As I have said multiple times, the school is located in the middle of downtown and Portland State owns pretty much half of downtown. The school though is very serious about their rules and do a good job of reminding students and getting it out there to remind students of the rules at Portland State and how serious they are.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Portland State at night can be scary sometimes. Portland State is located in the middle of downtown and there are a lot of homeless people and people out looking for trouble.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus dining at Portland State I would have to say is the best. The school is located in downtown and in the heart of Portland and so the school is surrounded by many restaurants, cafes, and food carts. The options are endless and plus students cannot go anywhere on campus without seeing a restaurant, food cart, or cafe within their sight.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: The athletics at Portland State University is the best. The students are very involved and take their athletics at Portland State very seriously. The school encourages students to go to the games and does a great job of keeping students updated about the school's athletics via email and social media.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: I've never seen or been subjected to any crimes.

3 College Senior

Administration: A fairly typical college administration.
