4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Professors are interested in their subject and make the learning process fun and encourage to ask for help.

3 College Freshman

Student Body: There are various types of people and some ethnic diversity.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Friendly teachers, helpful staff in the library and student center, multiple clubs

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The professors are helpful and friendly.

Overall Experience: The professors I have had so far are very engaging and know everything they need to know about what they are teaching and in their major. They are helpful and allow you to email or visit their offices during their hours. I have emailed my teachers multiple times, which is very convienent for me because if I have a question right away I can email them instead of having to wait for their office hours and may even forget what the question was.

Overall Experience: I am a tutor at Porterville College. It is helpful and good experience for me since I want to become a teacher. I get to help students in Pre-Algerbra, Beginning Algebra, and Intermediate Algebra. The employer is friendly, helpful, and nice, and makes the environment encouraging. It allows me to see how well I am at giving instructions and explaining how things work in the way I like to explain and will all around help me become a better teacher.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I do not receive financial aid but I have been in the financial aid office and they are very effiencient and helpful. My classes are fully paid for through a waiver so I just have to pay for books, which is normally covered by the scholarship I receive.

College Junior

Career Services: I do not know anything about post-grad.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have not had any problems so far.

3 College Junior

Student Body: I have only been at school for one semester so I have not experienced the student body very much.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Everything is alright it's a good environment to be around in. People are friendly and professors as well, but there isn't really any interaction with them. It feels like a school where professors just wake up, go to class, say what they have to say to inform us about upcoming assignments and exams, tell us to do it, and then go home. And most classes exceed 35 students so classrooms get very crowded. In some of my classes there has even been students sitting on the ground.

2 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: My experience with financial aid has been a headache since day one, every semester there has to be a problem with it. Although, they take long and i always seem to have to sign extra paperwork i shouldn't complain because i do get my money afterwards.

3 College Junior

Student Body: The diversity of students at my school are mostly hispanics but are very hardworking and always seem to get good grades.

3 College Junior

Career Services: Not sure yet but seems alright

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: One thing i do like about my school is the student learning center where this is many computers and its a clean and quiet environment to study and do work in.

2 College Junior

Academic Experience: I wish there was better classes or programs for my major

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Most professors are good teachers but some are very boring and do not know how to make a proper class schedule of homework assignments and exams

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: I believe that the campus is equipped with proper resources.

4 College Junior

Career Services: The career center is one of the most helpful areas at the school. When it comes to having any questions or difficulties about any given topic, there are multiple people and resources provided to help.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The athletic centers located on campus are hard to access even when you are an athlete. In my opinion, athletes should be able to access the weight room, field, gym, or stadium at anytime during school hours.

1 College Junior

Online Courses: Online courses are so much more difficult, you can't always reach an instructor when you need to, it's harder to concentrate on my work, there's a much larger workload, some classes just don't do well online.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am a Business Administration student, because of my major I have been opened up to so many things and programs such as the JEC, which helps students decide their major, help them with resumes, job interviews and so on. I've been to a major event and was a speaker for the event and I became part of the college's President's Leadership society.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: It's limited, as it is a small community college and not every course I need is available every semester and it can be really hard to get into classes.
