4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: everything is provided, and you learn a lot.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I enjoy this school because it's small and the professor's care about you.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: There are some classes where there are only one or two time slots but the core classes are easy to work around your schedule.

3 College Senior

Career Services: I have not heard of any job prospects from my school but I am not planning on getting a job from this school as I am going to further my education so this question is inapplicable to my situation.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I went to two other community colleges before this one and I must say that neither can beat Porterville in student interaction. Many teachers have great office hours as well as stay after class for a while. They also have programs that have student who already took the class have hours where they can help with homework, study for tests, or any questions they might have. Porteville is very focused on helping their students achieve to the best of their ability.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: I have not heard of any internships offered at the school or and jobs beside the nursing program which I hear is very good for those who are interested.

2 College Senior

Academic Experience: This college does not have to many classes as it is a small school, about the size of average high school with less sports, so classes are limited. Also for my specific program there really is not that many classes towards kinesiology. As far as GE credits, the have everything you would need.

Overall Experience: I really love how the teachers are so involved in the students succeeding. The academics are definitely a strong point for Porterville College. The only reason I don't give it a 5 star is that there are minimal athletics, including no football or soccer team. Also if you want food there is really none in walking distance but most people have a car if they go here anyway. Also Porterville is not the best place to go to college so the area brings its rating down as well.

5 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I am so excited to be going back to school

5 College Sophomore

Career Services: they are there for me

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I trust in them already that my dreams will come true

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Any college that is willing to put their staff and trust in me and support my growing talents and dreams is awesome on my book!

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I have not actually taken any Online-Courses, but from what my peers tell me, the resources are pretty good.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: So far, most of my Professors have been good at teaching source materials. They are also very human, meaning they connect with students very well. From my experiences, I have met no robots or monotone microphones. Class size is also moderate in all classes, ranging from 25-40 students a course, which allows for good community development.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have used none of these resources, so my opinion on this attains no relevancy.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: So far, class schedule flexibility has been to my liking. Every class I take is, for the most part, a decision that I made. And, ultimately, I am happy with them. The only frustrations I might note is that access to "Priority Registration" is mostly a "word and mouth" type of thing where, unfortunately, if you don't know about it, you don't get it.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: I mean, from what I have seen, the Career Services around campus seem well enough, but I have used none of them. My opinions on this matter aren't entirely relevant since I lack experience with it.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I have only been going for two semesters, but the Professors I have met are well versed in their line of work (which they should be) and give me a good experience. I have yet to meet more, but so far learning has been smooth for me.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I'm having a good time at the college, people to meet, places to learn. The resources available at the college itself are abundant, so there's help for students in many areas. I'm taking classes at my own pace, and it feels nice. Oddly enough, life is much more comfortable than High School.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I was told that if I needed to transfer all of the courses I have taken would be transferable to the institution that I chose.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Working through the mathematics course is really easy and helpful.

4 College Junior

Career Services: They have specific counselors to help with transferring to other institutions and they let you know in your plan ahead of time which credits are transferable.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The Professors are easy to talk and are able to answer questions completely and thoroughly to the best of their knowledge. They go out of their way to give you the best of your learning experience. The variety and coursework varies, but they do have a good variety towards the area.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I have some great prospects for work and career opportunities in the area. The college also offers assistance with job fairs and such and employment on campus.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: studying in the human services fields is an eye opener into seeing what is really going on with people and their behaviors. I enjoy learning and interacting with the rest of the class and instructors.
