Health & Safety

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: The university has done the best they can to address sexual assault on Point Park's campus. They try to handle situation as best as they can. However, there are instances where they way they addressed certain situations could have been handled differently. I do think that the university is safe. It works to provide a safe environment for its students.

Health & Safety: We have campus police everywhere and they are always quick to arrive when you call them.

Health & Safety: I have always felt very safe on campus. I mean sure, could someone get in and could something happen if the person was really determined? Sure. But the same can be said for the majority of college campuses across the country. The difference between my campus and some other, in my opinion, is that Point Park is a small school and so its easier to look out for student safety. The school also takes safety very seriously, and I have always known that if something happened, or if I was feeling unsafe at any time, I could get in touch with someone and be taken care of.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: My campus is downtown in a city. The entire student body is constantly getting e-mails alerting everyone to stay inside because an awful crime has been committed a few blocks away. For that reason, campus police probably patrol my college's campus a lot more than most colleges; however, they are slow to respond if there is an incident and they are not immediately on the premises when it happens.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Crimes do occur around campus because we are downtown. There are plenty of security guards and cops, but it is still bothersome at times.
