5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I absolutely love this school and what it stands for and how you can find alumni all throughout the united states and the world and how the are very big into getting you out into the real world as fast as possible and not sugar coating anything

1 College Freshman

Greek Life: we have no greek live here at point park, the closest thing to having it would be Pitts greek life and thats not even ours.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Its college, so i mean its not a 5 star hotel and spacious room but it suits the purpose i guess.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I think they really push you here and attempt to make you into something but without over stressing you.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: its not that bad, you just have to really try hard and look for a party

2 College Freshman

Campus Housing: You have to choose between no air conditioning with your own bathroom or a community bathroom but with ac. If you choose to have your own bathroom you also get overhead lighting and carpeting. If you choose ac, then you do not have lights or carpet.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: Most parties are not at my school. You have to go to Pitt's campus in Oakland to find a party.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: It is a city campus so there are apartments nearby, but they are expensive for most college students and they are usually already taken.

2 College Freshman

Majors: This school does not have the major that I want and no matter who I talk to no one will help me either figure out something else or find a school who has what I want to really do.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of places nearby, but they are usually expensive for a college student.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: We have campus police everywhere and they are always quick to arrive when you call them.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It takes a very long time. In the end, it turns out to be okay though.

1 College Freshman

Athletics: It is a performing arts school. We do not even have football. I wish we had sports.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: I lived on campus my freshmen year and half of my sophomore year and had an excellent experience. I loved living in Thayer, it was spacious and great when we needed the air conditioning and heat. The convenience is excellent; walking across the street couldn't be easier.

5 College Senior

Party Scene: The Conservatory definitely takes over when it comes to parties, always located in Oakland. It is a place where most students meet other students, especially upperclassmen meeting lower class men.

4 College Senior

Local Area: I think Pittsburgh is an excellent transition city for someone who wants to move to a bigger and busier city after graduation. It prepares you for the busy urban lifestyle to a certain extent; using public transportation, however the downtown hours to most shopping and convenience stores are not the most convenient. However, museums, attractions, activities, cultural events, safety and shopping are excellent.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: I was granted my scholarship during my senior year of high school at my audition for the University. One thing that I do not agree with is the time scholarships are given. The person I was my senior year compared to how I am now is incomparable. I did not know that Point Park University was the place for me at my audition, and if I was reconsidered for my scholarship now, I feel as though I would be deserving of more than I received.

College Senior

Greek Life: A Greek Life does not exist at Point Park University.

Athletics: I am not involved with the athletics but from what I hear, athletics are given full rides to play on some of the teams. It is the Conservatory that keeps the school running because most of us have little to no scholarships when we are the largest department.

5 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: The Off-Campus Housing is great and extremely affordable. Point Park University offers a free shuttle that runs from the "off-campus location" to the downtown campus that runs from 7am to midnight everyday which is very convenient. The pros is the affordability with rent, vehicle permits and space. The cons is the "college lifestyle environment" if you are not interested in that sort of neighborhood, but if you are; it is great.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: All my techniques courses have been fantastic, as a theatre major they are less lecture and more interactive learning with a small class.

4 College Sophomore

Party Scene: As a COPA student there is a lot of COPA parties and they tend to be fun but mostly take place in Oakland.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I've had a great time here. There are tons of successful alumni from COPA willing to mentor and answer students questions along with master classes and guest directors and artists they bring in.

2 College Junior

Local Area: Downtown Pittsburgh is a business town, so almost everything closes around 5 PM and isnt open on the weekends. You have to leave the city to find places and things that are still open at night.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: There are about two options for on-campus dining. the cafe has improved since my first year, but the dining hall is still questionable.
