Academic Experience: I've always been interested in the Ultrasound program, I picked Platt because it was much more of a realistic choice for me. It's a 2 year program (including your internship) each class is 5 weeks long, Monday- Thursday, and each 5 week Module you take 2 to 3 class. Which ends up being 5-10 meetings per class a mod. So it NO JOKE when they say it FACED PACED. This program is very hands on & the instructors want to answer every question you might have. But the school provides made up syllabus, tests & power points for lectures for the teachers so they really sound like theyre reading a script at times, unless you ask questions on the subjects. DMS program is mainly about whether you're good at scanning or not. In the end that's mainly what matters in your career field. So this school has students scanning pretty early on which is very exciting & makes learning about different pathologins easier to understand. Attend school & you'll pass with flying colors! As long as you attend school & show you want to be there. The school & instructors will help you make it through it all. You can say they hand feed/ spoil us at times.

Overall Experience: Platt College Riverside has a great energy about it. The staff & teachers are really nice which can go a long way... for them (especially when they need students in order to get paid). I feel like the "counselors" need to be more informed about each program, besides how much the courses cost. For example, since Platt Riverside isn't accredited in the DMS program, I asked how that affects me when I join and the best response I got was "Oh all that really doesn't matter unless you don't go through the Bachelors program they offer" (because i had already said I was interested in the Bachlors program) in reality there's more to it. All trade schools run the same and isn't for everyone. School like these are for people who really want to extend their education but don't have the time or don't want the hassle of public school waiting lists and it's also for people who aren't really into school, but know they need a college degree to feel moderately comfortable in their lives. With that, some short cuts are taken in order to get us there and that's where people start to contaplate and question whether or not it's the right fit for them.

Overall Experience: I haven't started going to school, what I do like about the school so far is that they really focus on getting you your career quickly. I truly appreciate that.

Overall Experience: When comparing to other schools in the area with a DMS program it seems to be above the rest. It has small classroom sizes, the books are of higher quality, they pay for your SPI and make you take it while still in school so that they can help you study for it, they don't send you to an internship with a bunch of other interns where you won't get much experience, and the teachers are very friendly and helpful.

Student Body: It is a private school so most programs keep to themselves besides the people who are outgoing and talk to everyone

Campus Resources: It is a very small campus so there are not very many amenities or centers and activities

Career Services: Career service helps you prepare your resume and for interviews as well as sends out job leads for your program.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial aid office is very helpful and make you read all about student loans before enrolling. All books and scrubs are included and the school also pays for one of your state tests the SPI exam.

Academic Experience: Our campus is not accredited for the DMS program yet but since they are in the process the curriculum and workload is very extensive. The teachers are very helpful and really want you to leave with a great understanding and knowledge of ultrasound. The internship opportunities are not the greatest because Loma Linda university has been around for years and has exclusive contracts with most hospitals and clinics around. There is a career services office where they help prepare you for interviews, spice up your resume, and help you find job leads

Academic Experience: To enroll in the DMS program you must pass 2 tests covering math, reading comprehension and other basic skills as well as some medical knowledge. You must also go to an interview with the program director prior to being accepted into the program. There is homework everyday and a test every other day.
