4 College Freshman

Scholarships: It is a bit of a headache to get everything sorted out, but it is well worth it.

Campus Food: Dining hall is good for some, but Gorilla Crossing offers more.

Off-Campus Housing: I still live in the dorms but I had an easy time finding an apartment for next year I just had to look around for a price that fit my budget.

Off-Campus Dining: It's not great but I wouldn't expect more for such a little town.

Party Scene: People said it was a huge party school but I have found different.

Campus Food: I have eaten clean until college so switching over the the processed food they serve wasn't easy. But it's okay now and the food isn't completely horrible all the time. I just wish we had a bigger variety of healthier foods.

Campus Housing: The dorms I live in are quite small so that's my biggest complaint. Otherwise I really like it here, it takes me 10 minutes to walk to my classes or to the dining hall. There is always something going on in the lobby or at least once a week the RA's have some sort of social get together that we have the option to join in on. During the housing process it was a little confusing to get registered and some of the questions they had didn't make sense but otherwise it's great!

Off-Campus Dining: The cost of most off-campus food options are pretty reasonable, while most offer student discounts with your Pitt State card. Most places you could walk to from campus or the dorms, and are reasonable when you come in about how long it takes to sit and be served.

3 College Freshman

Administration: The policies at school make the campus safer for everyone and make students strive to be more responsible.

5 College Freshman

Party Scene: Parties usually happen Thursday-Saturday, and are pretty good. The parties provide security and a good way for students to interact and make new friends.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Dining hall doesn't have the greatest food, but they have a great variety. Also, they provide "steak cards" which give you four chances a semester to have fresh meat options cooked for you. Dining hall also has hours that meet most students needs, and your meal plan can be changed to the student's preference.

Campus Housing: Living on campus is great, you're close to class and the dining hall. The buildings are fairly close, making it easy to get to classes on time and fit classes closer together. The resident assistants are friendly and make it easier to make friends with the other people on your floor.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: when looking for a house near campus, it might be hard, because there are several upperclassmen that are living off campus, and chances are, they aren't moving out of their house, so availability is limited, but its not impossible.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are quite a few places to eat off campus, i think the most popular place would be Lotus, a cheap chinese restaurant, located on broadway, about 5 minutes from campus, if that. A lot of people also like half price appetizers after 9:00 pm at applebees, and of course we just got a buffalo wild wings, so thats pretty popular as well. Anything other than those kind of restraints can be found in joplin, though

4 College Freshman

Administration: On campus, faculty, and residence assistants are pretty strict when it comes to things that might be harmful to yourself or others, and tend to enforce the policy of "quiet hours" to help keep everyones dorm life experience easy with trying to get their school work done.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial aid process was really long and annoying, but i received more than enough money to cover my tuition and housing.

Party Scene: Partying in Pitt is pretty fun, personally i have only done it a couple times. I would definitely recommend a house party over a frat party. they're much more laid back, and less people.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The dining hall has some decent food, alongside some pretty awful food. I would suggest looking at the menu before going, so you know what there is and if you're going to eat or not.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I have had a pretty good experience with campus housing. The Resident assistants are always there for you when you need them. And for the most part, living in the dorms isn't as bad as most people may think.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: It is not bad, but it all depends how much you want to pay a month. You can find houses to rent all through town. Depends how far you want to drive. The school mentions some places but other than that they do not mention very much about it.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: The cost is usually normal at fast food restaurants. They are all on one street so very convenient. The local restaurants will give you a student discount. Chicken Anne's and Chatters are usually the best places to go.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: They are pretty strict on parking since it is very hard to find parking spots. They write tickets constantly. Other than that if you do not do anything outrageously stupid, they usually are pretty lenient.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I was too late this year to receive any.
