4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: The only complaint I have is the lack of enthusiasm from the people who work in the Goess building. They are not always friendly or eager to help.

Online Courses: Registering for online courses is the same as in-person registration. They're a great option if you don't have enough time in your day to make your way to campus, and learning is user-friendly.

Career Services: In my opinion, it seems that more people end up with promising careers if they received a degree from PCC.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The class sizes are always perfect in my opinion- it reminds me of high school. I prefer taking hybrid classes, where most of the coursework is done online and the lecture and big exams are done in class. It's a big plus when you have a busier schedule but still need to be in person to absorb the curriculum.

Overall Experience: There are plenty of job and career opportunities at PCC. They just recently held a career fair, which I believe they do several times a year, or at least once a semester.

Academic Experience: PCC has a great Arts program, which is one of their main focuses. I really enjoy my classes, my workload is never too hectic either.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: So far, I have really enjoyed PCC. I was having trouble the first semester because I was missing deadlines and classes, but it was easy for me to start back up again this spring semester and it's never been better. The teacher-to-student ratio is small and teachers are generally very good at responding, and are willing to assist you if you have any issues with your classwork. There is opportunities for further learning, employment, etc. every week in the Goess building. There's always something going on there, and everyone gets the emails. I'm glad I came here first instead of a university, PCC has already taught me a lot of responsibility and experiences I never would've gotten.

Academic Flexibility: I have a child so working my schedule around times I get to be with him and going to school is great.

Online Courses: I'm taking multiple online classes and yes they are challenging but they are worth taking and you interact with so many other students

5 College Junior

Career Services: The career center is a very helpful place. They work with you to find internships, jobs, and also part time jobs while you're in school

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The class size are very small so you get that close interactions with professors

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I haven't had any experience with this yet

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: School so far has been amazing. Ive made many friendships with students and the professors are nice and they will really go out their way to make sure their students succeed

Academic Experience: The Horticulture program is very fun. Easy on the workload but very full of hands on activities and attendance related testing. Fun.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: My first degree is from another country and I'm still trying to figure out how to transfer my credits

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Horticulture Technology has been very helpful so far. A lot of homework but the books help you a lot to get good grades. A lot of physical work in the greenhouse which is very fun and you learn a lot.

Career Services: Usually, after graduating from Pitt, a person can already acquire a job around them. They have career center services and they even send out emails or reminders about possible employers hiring.

Academic Experience: My major is Nursing and as I've said before, getting an Associate's degree from Pitt is as good as getting it from the nearest university in my city. You do learn extensively and they train you to become a proper future nurse. The classes I have taken so far aren't a waste of my time and money because I learn so much.

Academic Flexibility: My last semester at Pitt Community was convenient because I just live 10-15 minutes away and I could just park the car at any designated student parking, which is a lot. MY experience there was hassle-free because my schedule was arranged beautifully. I only had like two classes per day so it doesn't take up my entire time in a day.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: I had one online class from this community college last semester which was Chemistry. I was very nervous having a chemistry class online without the teacher in front of me, but in the end I was successful and passed with a B. The lecture on the internet was actually quite helpful. The grade results came out quickly and I was able to access everything on the Moodle website.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: In my classes from last semester, Fall 2015, the biggest class size I had was about 24. The classroom environment is safe and comfortable for the students. My professors were very kind and understanding.

Overall Experience: The nursing school in a community college may seem inferior from the nursing school in a university. However, Pitt community college's nursing school is as great as the university here in Greenville. Students get their Associate's degree in Nursing and then transfer to a university to continue their education. Pitt Community college is a great school to have a styart on your future career. It is an affordable school while at the same time, has a good academics reputation. The staff, teachers, professors and tutors are all so helpful and are there to really help you achieve your personal educational goals.

3 College Freshman

Online Courses: I didn't have strictly online classes but I did have hybrid classes and contacting instructors was easy and the classes really benefited me.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: I'm not sure on this being it's only my first year.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: All of my professors send emails to remind students of work and other events in the class. Also topics are related to the real world and not just taught strictly from a book.
