Overall Experience: I've had instructors that are very proud of their job and I've also had instructors that seem to just be there for the paycheck

Overall Experience: It's a good price. It saves a lot of money to go here for 2 years, and then transfer to another university.

Overall Experience: I like the environment but some teachers lack motivation and do not do well in front of a crowd. They lack enthusiasm and creativity.

Campus Resources: Pima is a great school with helpful staff. if you know what you want to major in right out of high school will do just fine.

Overall Experience: Wish I went to Pima first instead of the university, it is not easy to transition from high school to higher education, especially when you're not from a family where your parents are familiar with the whole college process or when you have to worry about your finances while getting your education. Pima can help with that transition.

Academic Flexibility: It mostly depends on the classes you're taking and the program. Gen eds are usually flexible and lots of options and variety in format. Theatre class, not so much. I cannot speak for other programs.

Overall Experience: It is not the most amazing college experience but it will do what you need it to do and for a way cheaper price. Plus for the most part everyone is pretty nice and its easy to get the gist of things at Pima.

Student Body: Tucson is a diverse town but depending on what campus you go to will determine the diversity. West Campus and Downtown Campus will probably be the most diverse since they're near the University of Arizona and the communities that surround them. Desert Vista may not be too diverse but that is solely because there is a large minority population there.

Tuition & Financial Aid: As someone with a very abysmal EFC, I was not too worried about financial aid, but the process for your first time can be somewhat stressful if you put it off too long since of the paperwork takes for ever to process. The financial aid is not too efficient at times and can be a nuisance. After the first time, which is horrible, the other year(s) should be smooth sailing. If you do your work early, scholarships should be available for you to apply. Make use of STARSOnline.

Career Services: If you plan on transferring to the University of Arizona, it's a great because they have a class to help you transition into the UofA in a stress free manner... if you're going to one of the other 2 Arizona universities, make use of the AZ transfer guide, but for the majority you're on your own and better make use of transfer advisors at your prospective school (don't be frightened away but know that it won't be as easy as the first option).

Academic Experience: Even though I was involved in the theatre program at my school, I wasn't a theatre major because it would take too long to finish and transfer for my timeline. As long as you are a Pima student, you can be involved with the shows, you DON'T have to be part of the theatre program to be involved (which is sometimes a good thing and is sometimes a bad thing).

Academic Experience: The academics (acting classes) are pretty chill, which can be good or bad because if you're working alone you can go at your own pace for the most part as long as you do everything on time. This environment is not so great when you're working on a scene and your partner(s) is too chill about whether or not showing up to class or the amount of effort they're willing to put in (luckily this never happened to me but I've seen it happen to others). Registration is always easy and not too stressful. The instructors are usually pretty good and are great to work with. Very safe environment for actors to work and grow in.

Campus Resources: I can't really speak for everyone when it comes to resources because I was part of 2 programs that helped me and made the help I received very personalized. If you are part of the TRIO program, this is very true because there is two advisors for the program and they know the majority of everyone's names and for the most part their situations so you don't have to start from scratch like if you go to the regular advisors. They are also very efficient on getting you your associates and really take care of you and help you every step along the way when it comes to transferring. If you are a first generation college goer or are part of a low income family, this is something you definitely want to try to be apart of. (Only offer at the Desert Vista Campus, but that does not have to be your primary campus)

Academic Flexibility: I have not had to transfer any credits but I do think that Pima offers very flexible classes and schedules. I haven't had any hassels.

Overall Experience: I feel like a broken record at this point but I honestly have really enjoyed my experiences here at Pima Community College. The students and staff are very friendly. I would chose this school all over again because of how affordable it is for the quality of the classes.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I think the class sizes are great. There are not too many jam packed into one room which makes getting help easier. The courses offered are great and the teachers really know what they are teaching. I have been very pleased with the variety of courses that my school has had to offer.

Overall Experience: So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences at Pima Community College. I love the atmosphere, the diversity, and the helpfulness of the teachers. They are plenty on places on campus to take advantage of in order to study and all of the staff is friendly and helpful.

Online Courses: I've taken one completely online class and a few other classes that were partly online. So far I have enjoyed the online classes that Pima offers. They were very convenient and the workload was fair. All of the classes I've taken online were very specific as to what was due and when so there was no confusion.

Student Body: A lot of students keep to themselves but I have met a good amount of really nice and friendly people while being at Pima. The student body is very diverse and almost every student I've met has seemed to be very driven and hardworking.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Being a student with financial needs, I was offered some grant money which really helped. The cost of tuition is good considering the cost of other schools in the area. A tip ,however, would be to fill out your FAFSA early because I waited too long my first year and it took a while to get my financial aid which was hard because I had to pay for my tuition up front until my aid came in the mail and reimbursed me.

Academic Experience: All of the classes that I have taken have been challenging and a good learning experience but none of them were impossible to get through because of the helpfulness of the teachers. So far I have maintained a 3.5 GPA both semesters of attending Pima Community College. some classes were more difficult that others. None of them were a piece of cake; I've had to actually apply myself which has made for better study habits.

Academic Experience: I've enjoyed all of my professors and classes that I've taken thus far. So far I am very please with what Pima has had to offer me.

Campus Resources: I love spending my time in the library and computer study area. There's tons of room to accommodate the students and if I ever need help I know that I can go see one of the numerous tutors in the library. I have also noticed that Pima offers many campus activities such as the poetry slam in the Student Life Center, which I attended.
