As a business management major I feel as though I will thrive in the real world, especially in the area I plan to live in. There are so many things that teens my age aren't taught will in high school. This leaves us with too many unanswered questions when we find ourselves in the real world. No one ever told us the answer to questions like: How do I build my credit? How do I file taxes? Where do I go to file my taxes? Those questions along with questions about how to manage our finances, are what we fail to get out of high school, which leaves us completely blind. I'm glad my major covers all of those topics and more. The professors at Penn Highlands Community College gives me the opportunity to avoid the obstacles that most of the people I know are blind to until they come across one. This major gives me the chance to start my business off right by making smart investments and taking smart risks.

Pennsylvania Highlands Community College provides a great place for me to take some college courses close to home that will transfer to most 4 year colleges in the area. They offer various sections for most classes, allowing scheduling to be flexible and fit around busy schedules. For me this was a convenient and cost effective way to earn relevant college credits that will transfer into a 4 year nursing program.

I have a busy schedule, work, school, kids. My school offers several different sections to the same course allowing flexibility when creating your class schedule. Night and weekend classes are both offered, as well as online options for some courses.
