Overall Experience: There was a lot of extra pieces to submit in the application process for art school and they would always check in on the progress and certain things getting submitted.

Party Scene: The school offers night taxis to take students home

Party Scene: I don't attend parties, but I also never hear of anyone throwing parties, either.

3 College Freshman

Academics: I'm not close to any of the teachers because they seem to be very close-minded, but hopefully in the next few years I can be part of a good class.

Diversity: Bullying is not an issue at all

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I'm not sure who does drugs and who doesn't; there doesn't seem to be a change in people's behaviors and frankly it's none of my business.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The school has a few discussions about topics such as sexual assault and violence. The school also emails the students frequently on things happening on campus or in the city regarding these issues, so we are always aware.

Overall Experience: Class work is bearable but as a student working a part-time job, most teachers do not empathize with me. Some class work is honestly pointless when it comes to the goal that I want to reach. Some teachers are also narrow-minded and aren't open to other ideas, which can be discouraging.

Overall Experience: The school is located in a city that is passionate about art, so it wouldn't be too difficult to possibly find a job in Lancaster.

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus, but the school building itself is very small and cramped, especially for an art school where students need room, but it's inevitable since the building is located in a city.

Greek Life: No one really cares for socializing; we do our work and that's basically it!

1 College Freshman

Athletics: Since I go to an art school, there are no sports, but people who are interested have the opportunity to start a sports club

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Not the most expensive school out there, but definitely not worth all the money I'm paying so far

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The school has held multiple talks on sexual assault. They also provide a free taxi service for students that need to leave the school after dark.

Overall Experience: In my studio classes my teachers a lot of times have felt more like artists than teachers. They have a TON of great advice, but sometimes it's hard to get. My academic professors are all very helpful.

Overall Experience: The student work around campus is AMAZING. One of my favorite things to do during breaks is walk around and look at it. I haven't had an internship yet, but is a school requirement.

Athletics: We don't really have an athletics facility at all. You can play kickball or softball. You can go to yoga or bowling club, but there aren't intramural or varsity sports, and there are not gym memberships available through the school.

Overall Experience: I like my school. The people are very friendly. It's just really, REALLY small and there are a lot of things I feel like I'm missing out on like calculus and clubs.

Athletics: Students are coming here to get an art education, period. There are no organized sports, but if students wanted to, they could easily organize regular sporting games and practice among themselves. There is a student vs. faculty softball game at the end of every year during the all-school picnic, and there are some practices for people who want to do that, but that is just for fun.

Off-Campus Housing: Most housing is off-campus. They just added a dorm building last year, but it is only big enough to house the incoming freshmen. The school has "meet and greet" sessions and ways to help you find a room mate, and a list of landlords in the area that offer apartments to students, so it's not hard to find a place and it's nice to be in the actual community anyway.

Off-Campus Dining: The college is located within Lancaster city, and Lancaster is a somewhat progressive community that supports organic farming and likes variety with food. The cheapest and closest place is House of Pizza which isn't great quality food, but it will do the job if you are hungry on a budget. There is a great burritos place across the street, a number of small cafes, some thai and vietamese places, etc. Some of them offer organic and vegetarian/vegan options. The Central Market, open on Tuesdays and Fridays, offers a number of things from fresh produce, meats and cheeses, to ready-made deli lunches, salads, loose-leaf teas, etc.

Administration: This is my biggest problem with the school. They put on a facade like they care all about the students, but their actions say otherwise as I explained before. They treat the faculty terribly and have caused many of them to leave, and they make decisions that are just not in the best interest of the students.

Scholarships: I have to say that being it is a small school the tuition is much lower, but they don't offer hardly any scholarships. Pretty much all aid is done through FAFSA. You can apply to scholarships outside of the school and have it applied to your tuition, but those are hard to come by. It is really unfortunate that they don't have a better scholarship program.

Party Scene: The school has sponsored parties, like a Gender Bender Ball (you come cross-dressed), a Halloween party, etc. But there are also parties that students have in their apartments. I heard about one where everyone turned on black lights and put glow in the dark paint all over their bodies. It's an art school...
