Weather: my school is in Pennsylvania so it does snow a lot during the winter and early spring. when it snows, its bad. But i would say that it affects my college experience at all maybe just restricts the movement of cars and results in the cancellation of classes and special events but those are always rescheduled so it is a win win situation. we get a free day off school when its cancelled and the special events do get rescheduled.

Weather: Too much snow and exceptionally cold wind makes me stuck at home. A lot of times I have had to miss classes because of how cold it is outside.

I miss the summer sun and warm weather more than I miss home made food. That is saying a lot, given I love homemade food too much

Weather: I love the cold and the snow so the weather fits good with me!

The weather in Altoona is very temperamental. August and September are still fairly warm, but when October and November arrive, so does the snow. December is a big snow month, but luckily, Penn State Altoona students don't have to see half of it because they’re home on break. Most professors live close to the University and walk to classes, so if you cannot get to a class because of the weather and they can, do not expect them to feel sorry for you.

During the spring semester, the weather fluctuates even more. It could very well be snowing one day and 78 degrees the next. The most necessary piece of equipment while in Altoona will probably be your senses—the humidity and sudden change in temperature will let you know about impending weather. Most students usually carry a jacket with them just in case a beautiful day turns into a flash flood, which does happen.
