5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I would choose it again because it gave me the room to grow as a person and focus on athletics

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The academics are good as well as other aspects of that spectrum. My only concern would be that some of the professors there are pretty clueless and do not care for the students, but I am sure you will find that nearly anywhere. No matter the school.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I do not know much about the career prospects because I did not focus on that aspect. I was more focused on academics because of my decision to transfer schools and earn a four-year degree.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Very convenient even though some of the classes were just busy work.

3 College Junior

Student Body: Average student body. I met many friends that I will probably be in touch with for years and years but overall, the student body is just average.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Apply for the scholarships there! Chances are you will get something because they do well at distributing scholarship money. Otherwise the financial aid there is pretty useless as they do not participate in government loans.

College Junior

Career Services: I have not heard anything from the school since I graduated. The career services helped me put together a resume but all other topics of discussion like the alumni network has been nonexistent. The only person I have kept in touch with from the school is my coach.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I chose to go to this school for the athletics and not for the academics. The academics were pretty standard. I did the General Studies 2 year degree. You learned what you had to to get by but did not learn above the minimum curriculum requirements. Facilities available to the students are sufficient for their designed purposes. And with anything, you get out what you put into it.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Average at best, especially some of the professors in the science department.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Academics was on par with what other community colleges offered but the real gem about this school was the location. The surrounding area is growing and changing rapidly as an effort to stop the economic decline. That being said, the cost of living is some of the lowest you will find and the people of the area are generally friendly. For someone in a transitional time of their life (i.e. college student), there are plenty of job opportunities for those with minimal skills.

Campus Resources: The athletic program is not very large and I did not participate any sports. The library is very useful. The testing center is very convenient for online courses and I used it frequently.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: The need for a personal computer was minimal and devices were usually available when required. I never had to print anything on campus. The network reliability is generally okay.

3 Recent Alumnus

Student Body: Most topics outside of regular academic subjects do not get talked about.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Flexibility: The only frustration I have had is that once registration starts you have to decide very quickly which classes to take or they will get taken.

5 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: The only reason I would not select my school again is if I knew originally what I wanted to study. I chose the General Studies program because most of the bigger universities in Virginia will accept all of the classes when you transfer to them to complete a bachelor's degree. I also did not know right away what I wanted my major to be and the general studies gave me the time to figure it out.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition at the school is very affordable. All of the fees are made aware of before you pay them. The financial aid office was very helpful in suggesting different means of paying for tuition and books.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: I am working towards earning the Associate of Arts and Science in General Studies. As far as I can see there is nothing unique about the program. The workload is very manageable and the professors do a good job of preparing you for bigger universities.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: The staff handling registration are willing to answer all of your questions and offer sound advice. The curriculum is average.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Quality: The teachers are very accommodating. I have attended several other colleges and this one has by far the best staff.

4 Recent Alumnus

Online Courses: Most of the online classes I have taken here have been great. The teacher are very good about letting student know deadlines well in advance and what the requirements are. The majority of them also set aside times students can meet with them in person for tutoring if needed. The few exceptions I have had involved professors taking long periods of time to answer emails and grade assignments.

Recent Alumnus

Career Services: I am not sure what the quality of post-grad services are. I still have another semester left before I graduate.

4 Recent Alumnus

Online Courses: I have not taking any online courses yet but I will next semester.

5 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: I don't know what it is like to be in my major yet. I am in General Studies right now until I transfer.

5 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: At Patrick Henry the professors are always helpful and tutors also.

4 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: My experiences at Patrick Henry has been great the professors have helped me to learned material better that I didn't understand in high school.
