Overall Experience: Love This Place – Okay, the location is amazing, but its the people that make it awesome. The people you live with in the dorms and go to school with couldn't be better.

Athletics: Huge Intramural Program – PUC has a huge intramural program in addition to the Pioneers Varsity Athletics. They play a huge number of sports and there's always a few varsity leagues active during any given time of the year.

Guys & Girls: Hotties All Around – There are a lot of extremely attractive individuals going to school here. Students are also generally well off enough to have money to blow on their looks and clothes.

Diversity: Very Diverse School – I'm sitting in a room with asian, white-American, Filipino and european people.

Majors: Love My Program Profs – The professors are very intelligent and willing to assist you in pursuing your degree. Really can't ask for me.

Campus Quality: Get Ready for the Fountain – Tradition at PUC stipulates that every student be thrown in the fountain in front of Paulin Hall by their friends on their birthday. Its a harmless, fun tradition that's been going on for a while. Be ready.

Local Area: We've Got It All! PUC has everything nearby. Cities (San Francisco & Sacramento), tourist destinations (Tahoe & Napa Valley) and everything else.

Campus Food: The Campus Center Is Where Its at – Students in the know eat in the campus center/grind. Its a coffee shop/cafe with lots of fast food options and drinks made to order.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Decent Number of Housing Options – The housing is nice but limited. Hopefully, the school will be able to develop more of its property in the next couple of years.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: Great Building – The dining hall has an excellent facility with booths, couches, bar tables and regular seating areas.

Academics: Top Ranked School – PUC is consistently ranked as one of the best liberal arts colleges in the country. The quality of instruction and academic support services is very high, as are career and support staff.

Majors: PUC Biology Is Very Strong – PUC is known for its Pre-Medical program and its 97% acceptance rate into medical school. Biology is one of the more popular majors among Pre-Med students. It is a very strong program and students have no problem getting into graduate school.

Overall Experience: Great Place to Study – PUC is a great place to study in the middle of nature but with modern conveniences and close enough to the city so you don't feel isolated.

4 College Freshman

Administration: It Depends on What It Is – PUC is very strict when it comes to academic issues, if you're caught cheating its nearly zero tolerance. Other things, they're not as strict on.

Local Area: Quaint and Close to City – PUC is located on Howell Mountain overlooking the Napa Valley. We're less than ten miles from St. Helena which is possibly the best place for dining in the country. Also located less than an hour and a half from Sacramento and the Bay Area with their many cultural options. Despite its proximity to these urban areas, its located on a beautiful campus with over 1,000 acres of prime Napa Valley property. Biking and hiking opportunities abound.

Diversity: Diverse All Around – For a religious school, there are a surprising number of nonreligious students as well as students from a wide variety of faith backgrounds. PUC was also the first Adventist school to have a Gay-Straight Alliance formed on its campus, PUC's group led to the formation of sister groups at Walla Walla, La Sierra, Loma Linda, Andrews and Union.

Drug Safety: Depends Who You Hang Out With – If you don't want to drink, smoke or do anything, then hang out with those people, there are plenty. There's also groups who do some or all of those things, you just have to look a little harder. :)

Campus Housing: Dorm Atmosphere Is Great – There's a high level of camaraderie among students in the various residence halls. Some of the facilities aren't the newest, but the school is working on overhauling them like they did with the dining commons, campus center and library.

Academics: Some people think that since PUC is a college, not a University, our academics may not be as good as peer schools identifying as Universities. Think again. As a liberal arts college, nothing comes above academics at PUC.

Overall Experience: One of My Best Decisions Ever – I love PUC. Its not perfect and there are times when some aspects of life here are frustrating, but on the whole there is little I would change. The people are interesting, the faculty are smart and approachable and the scenic location is unbeatable.

Diversity: Even the Non-Christians – I think I have met some of the most kind people in my life at Pacific Union College. Because the school is small, it seems like everyone become more friendly and close to each other. There is a fair distribution of Asian, Caucasians, African-Americans. The school's religion is emphasized all around. There is really no racial discrimination. But, although the people might not be a problem for some who do not have a faith in Christianity, the school's requirement for religious activities can be bothersome.

Off-Campus Dining: Authentic and Convience – Restaurants are a bit far away from Pacific Union College. However, the food that the restaurants serve are great. There is Buster's BBQ, which fills up many students' stomach with great tri-tip sandwiches. There are all kinds of fast food restaurants off campus. You literally can find any fast food restaurants. But, there are a lot more restaurants that can serve some real food.

Academics: The One-Way Trip to Loma Linda – My declared major is biochemistry/pre-dentistry. Pacific Union College is a religious school that are closely related to Loma Linda University. For people who are looking forward to become a dentist, pharmacist, or doctors, my school can be one of the best choices among many good schools. Although the school is not famously known, the school has very good programs for dental, medical, and pharmaceutical majors. There are many school activities that keep the students engaged and involved. Facilities are friendly, educative, and wise. There are nearby hospital and many other organizations that students can get jobs and volunteer opportunities. The only thing I do not like about the school is the location because it is too remote. But, I am satisfied with everything else and I would give my school an A grade.
